I agree with Ares42. I had two friends over, taught them the basics of the game, and went online. My first friend was drawn to Clunk, my second friend to Lonestar, and I switched between Yuri and Voltar. In one game we were fighting a Leon, Clunk and Voltar. Because we were all in the same room, therefore able to communicate, we spiked that team to the ground a few times. Clunk would attack the top turret and kill, I would defend the top with Yuri, and Lonestar would defend the bottom turret and attack when we had them distracted. Clunk took out Voltar nearly every time, grantid I don't think he was what one would call a "good" Voltar. As Yuri, I didn't even buy the bubble. I bought the mines with carpet bomb, bounce, and shorter cooldown. I was annoying. With both turrets being pushed I was able to drive the other team crazy, and defend the turret when either Lonestar or Clunk had to go get health (except for when I played Voltar).

So I think team work has a great impact on the game. Also, "screen peeking" came in handy so I could easily see when one of my teammates was under attack.

Not exactly... Voltar takes VERY little damage from a tower because the tower focuses on the drones and not him. And since they change place a lot, the Turret focuses on them evenly, and Voltar can heal them all at once...

The end result is, he can not only do more damage to towers than anyone else (Anyone else doing 32 per shot?) he can do it with no damage to himself. He can also do this with no upgrade to his health, i.e. a LOT later than anyone else.

The advantage a healer gives a team is noticeable. When said healer can dish out 44 dmg per volley on a player and solo towers, he's kind of TOO useful.

Yes, teamwork affects the gameplay, obviously. But this is WAY too many jobs for a single character to excell at... With surprisingly low investment.

Then what they need to do is tweak the turret to shoot him not the drones. But think about it, if he is able to take a tower alone where are the other 3 player? Reason he is able to do this is cuz he is being ignore. thats why i said any of them can take down a tower if left alone. Plus your forgetting the fact how fast he dies and he can get own if not being protected. So again i just think ppl are just not playing well together and some are.


One thing that will help is if there were some sort of ranking system or ELO system where u only get match up with ppl on the same skill level. This is probably the reason why so many ppl think some char or some strats are OP cuz they are playing better players. Am not sure if they do have a system but if they do i certainly dont think its working then. And also the fact that some ppl are playing as a party and they get match up againts random ppl that wont say a word even if they have a mic. Its rare to find someone who will actually talk.

That's the thing: They CAN'T. Not in one go.

Try it. Get Lonestar, get Crystal Bullets, Eagle Bullets and Chetah Bullets, get the Health Pills, then charge a Turret solo. You'll do about 20-30% dmg before having to back out.

Get Voltar, get 4 Drones, max speed, max damage. You'll KILL the turret alone.

Yes i understand what ur saying but ur missing my point. He is doing this cuz he is being ignore. I m not saying the others are better at this but they can also do this thats what am saying. maybe not as effective as him but they are able to do this too. To me this is not a problem cuz only reason he is taking a turret down its cuz he is being ignore thats what am trying to say.

And I'm going to repeat myself: They CAN'T do that. Only Voltar and Leon can go one on one against a tower and win. EVEN IF IGNORED, Froggy, Lonestar and Clunk will fall. Yuri can find a blindspot and kill a tower sometime next WEEK.

Voltar can do it quickly and cleanly.

This is my first post. But I play Yuri almost exclusively :monkey: I read a few post about Yuri needing a buff. But I have to disagree. I have been killed by Leon a lot but there is a simple counter to him which some people fail to do.

1. Place mines around you: This is tedious but at the same time if he decides to do a suicide run he will die.
2. Never fight alone: Since Yuri is mainly a support type this should be a given to most Yuri users.

3. Space Air Max, Power pills and Chrono Rift: It will slow Leon down and allow you to escape. Of course you would need the health and speed boost in order to avoid being killed by backstab.

Also the great thing about Yuri is that he is more (in my opinion) versatile then any other character. I have many offensive builds that I have been working on and using. For example for my laser beam load out I go with Giant monocle (increase range) and Tractor Beam Amplifier (pulls them towards you). This is really effective if you are trying to kill low hp enemies or trying to get your team a free kill. And when you use it with Chrono Rift and Time Primer you will not let anyone escape your grasp. :)
However this is all my opinion and I think it would be more useful if Yuri players put their heads together and come up with strategy against certain characters.
