It's definitely not the most dangerous move in the game. While I do agree it does need a bit of a nerf, it adds no damage and only makes it so you can't escape as easily.
Solution? Don't run. If you're going to win the fight anyway, the fact that he's slowing you down only further encourages you to finish the engagement. Lonestar's bull is much more deadly at keep an enemy near your turret.
Also, it IS the only move that slows you down in one swing because Leon is the only character with a sword, genius. Yuri's tractor beam/baby yeti are potentially much worse, as not only do they not have a cool down, they completely impede and even pull you back.
And if Leon's got the Electrifier, that means he doesn't have one of the other combat skills, which I would prefer he didn't. The only time I've had trouble with the slow is when it was used as part of a combo. Ya know, teamwork? God forbid. Here's an idea, how about countering his slow and dealing with it instead of doing the same dumb * over and over and getting ganked?
Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice... you're not gonna fool me again.
If anything, his tongue should be nerfed. The fact I can literally come out immediately of spawn with both range upgrades is terrible.

Electrifier is the exception as it applies slow for 1 second for 50% slow. Whereas Yuri's Slow is only 30%. This makes it so Leon is the only one with a 50% slow. Either way it got nerfed. Case closed.

* it, you two are right.
It's everyone else that's wrong.
Besides, my biggest problem with the electrifier isn't that it's the best money spent in the game(imo), it's that it's a proper NPE. I've seen people get hit with someone who bought the electrifier straight off the bat and rage quit immediately, more then once, and then say later that they've added the Leon dude to their avoided lists, because they didn't wanna deal with it. That's the reality. You can type away here and feel like the big man and be elitist all you want, it won't change what's happening.

If you know they've added them to their avoided lists, that means you either message them or are friends, I'm assuming. Shouldn't you get a better team that won't bail on you? Oh but I'm trollin' because I commented right?

In every competitive game there's stuff that seems cheap or unbeatable to beginners and intermediate players. Just because they rage-quit and like being vocal about their opinions does not necessarily make them fact. Fuzia wrote: Nerf creeps @@@! Dem solar bosses!

The client is always right. If the taser blade discourages potential players, then it should be nerfed. This elitist "deal with it" attitude is what annihilated the fighting game community for a decade (anyone here remember the complete brokeness of MvC2 ? People didn't "deal with it", they just quit.) before Street Fighter 4 came with a more casual-friendly and balanced gameplay. Besides, Leon is still very good without it, so where would be the problem if it was removed ? I have found some strategies that make taser blade even more powerful than most people think, so I totally encourage a nerf.

For the record: I do believe Leon's electrifier upgrade needs to be adjusted in some fashion. Maybe even remove it entirely in order to further encourage team play -- make Leon team up with a Yuri for the slow effect! But I don't see it being nearly as big an issue as, say, Lonestar being ridiculously powerful at any stage of the game. I vehemently disagree with making something crucial like game balance a democratic process though...that way lies madness. Azur_7 wrote: The client is always right. No. Nothing good has ever come from catering solely to the lowest common denominator. Especially when you're talking about game balance you cannot take everybody's notions on what may or may not be overpowered into account. Do you have any idea how broken Awesomenauts would be if the developers heeded even half the suggestions posted on this forum? Fortunately Ronimo is going about it the right way: Testing it themselves, with the help of experienced players, while carefully evaluating community feedback without knee-jerk reactions. I'm looking forward to the patch for this already rather well-balanced game. Also, to the folks working at Ronimo: PLEASE post patch notes on the exact changes! The community will love you for it.
