I do like flash forward, I often switch that out with the x3 Heal. But I find going for max heal is like having yuri be voltar on your team, makes pushing easier since you can out heal the turrets and taking damage from mining the turrets isnt an issue.

The good thing about flash forward is it reduces cooldown times too, but does it also reduce the time warp cooldown while activated? if it does then maybe it is foolish missing out on it.

Euhm no, but I will try it later, thanks :)
And I don't actually use mines in my build, after I got all bubble upgrades I usually go for slow and range of my laser, works really well.
My goal isn't to do damage with the build, just to make it hard for my enemies with the bubble and super easy for my friends :)

edit: ok, played a little with that flash upgrade and it's really nice with mines yeah :) it's also very funny to see Yuri be that fast xD
So now if I want more to be a killer supporter, I will choose that upgrade, thanks again.

Flash forward is perfect for escaping. Watching Clunk outrunning the enemy Froggy G is one of the funniest things i've witnessed so far  I wonder how fast Coco would be in the bubble...

Since I tried it, I leave x3 heal most of the time out of my loadout, it's just so nice to be so fast ;)
And about Yuri and the dividing bombs, I've played against one guy who did it perfectly on AI station. His name was something with Panda, don't know it now anymore.
What he did after our one turret was destroyed, he just layed mines on all crappy places.. like the extra droid pots, and just on the normal ways too..
If we would go and avoid him he would just destroy our turret, so we had to defend it.
The only reason I still could kill him was because I was clunk with big health. I could survive all his bombs while he fled, and eventually I killed him.
Still, the only reason he didn't win because he had a suicider lonestar on his team, who only ran to our turret to get killed.
I suspect the Yuri went with the duration and the 1x damage upgrade, and he owned.

Has anyone checked whether Flash speeds up the healing rate? It seems surprisingly fast but I always get Flash first and never actually tested it.

I believe it does. I pick heal before flash. I have noticed that the bubble CD starts when the bubble starts, it's like 10 sec or something. I wonder if Flash boosts the CD of the bubble as well?

Yuri is not my best character and I only use him occasionally but I usually stick with this...

For Offense/Harassment/Kills:
Mines. And Mines Everywhere. First I get the last damage upgrade, then longevity, then I get the first damage upgrades. (Focus on Health/Speed if the team is constantly trying to pick me out of the sky). Then I upgrade the time warp, with longevity/cooldown, speed and healing.
Then I upgrade the laser for damage and speed (the laser though is last and I don't usually get to it anyway)

For Support/Survivability:
Time Warp, with cooldown/longevity, speed and healing. The speed helps your teammates chase enemies and helps you get away if needed healing as you do so. Also, this helps turret taking (with a team) go by so much more smoothly.
Then Mines/Laser, depending on what you need. The Laser with Slow, Length, and Pulling effect can stagger enemies and keep them in range of your teammates. Use the fully upgraded time warp and your team can kill a lot.

Why is mines vs. bubble a question of either/or?

They work so well together! Even though I am a support player I almost always go mines + damage before I start upgrading my bubble. Mines simply have a better cost/effectiveness ratio early game. Unless the opposing team is compromised of newbies and bots my games almost always last long enough to get all bubble upgrades before the match is over -- and at that point Yuri is a real beast.

I completely agree that laser builds do not seem viable at all compared to the sheer power of his other skills.

In my experience, the speed is better than damage for Yuri, as he always still starts at the low end for damage. It means you can get those runaway kills easier.

That's the order I usually use these days. Once I get Flash and cooldown the match takes a sharp turn in my team's favor, so I'll sometimes experiment with skipping the mine damage and going for Time warp upgrades, but not only does it not seem to give much of an advantage to my team, I seem to get Time warp up to speed in around the same time as if I went with damage first.

My two "main styles" of Yuri were mainly just what I start with depending on what I want to do. If I build my mines first, I usually fly around dropping them in the right places, hang near the turrets, or hide away and plant traps. If I go for time warp first, I try to never leave my team so I can help them make kills and heal them/speed them up.
