Completely bonkers. They just seem to keep on bouncing. You can lob mad damage into their turret from half a screen away or just indiscriminately toss them in a vague direction and wait for them to connect with something. Mad lame.

Word.

I would not worry about that too much, Romino has stated they will look into it which brings me to believe it is a glitch and will not be around for long.

As for the blaster upgrades vs missle upgrades, as I've stated before I have used blaster vs missles before and if you are realistic about it you aren't going to hit an agile and skilled lonestar with every shot you have, (this is coming from someone who considers himself to be very good at games) and unless you somehow manage to do so you will be overwhelmed in a short amount of time. As I've also stated before if the missle user in question somehow manages to be overpowered by the blaster lonestar and he takes chase, the missle lonestar can always just run in the opposite direction while shooting missles behind him to gain the upper hand. It all comes down to the player in question but from my personal experience the missles are far superior.

Yeah, it seems to me to be one of those things they just might not have completely considered people doing to the extent/in the ways that they do. Make it so that they bounce once then stick where they land? I don't know. But it doesn't seem to me the dynamite was designed to be used that way.

The bounce delay combo isn't very good if you ask me. You loose control of placement and the advantage of bigger AOE or LS. It would be nice if they didn't bounce as much, like 2 times perhaps. Would make them easier to use for placement and still give you good reach. I am all for delay and LS myself.

The missiles are better early game, since they are much cheaper. But since we had a kid on our team he got way more solar than me from easy kills. Maximum blaster does a lot more damage than 2 missiles, it's also a lot easier to hit when you have max fire rate. The missiles have such a low rate of fire that over time the blaster do more damage. And it's extremely hard to escape from someone who have your movement speed and the long range of the blaster. Now this was my first time encountering a max blaster with my 2 missiles (and crystal eagle), and my usual tactics didn't work. As soon as he got close to me I was sure to die as I could neither fight or run away.

Bumping this thread because, well... Lonestar is just too good at everything.

I confess that I picked him once because my two usual mains (Voltar and Yuri) were already taken, and boy was that a whole new game I played. There's not even a comparison. I have been addicted to Lonestar's power ever since, and I fear only a nerf can clear me of that.

Help, Ronimo...help.

I feel you.

I've said here I'm not a good Lonestar, but I gave him a whirl once because of random, and just went with the missiles asap, into boots, into dynamite and then from there it was just a bit mental. He's mad good.

Yeah.. I wish his missiles weren't so good. They deal a lot of damage and almost always hit you, especially when the lonestar is after you.

You can however run faster than the missiles. They are not good for pursuing opponents. Should you really duel with a cowboy? With Lonestar you do know what you are going to get and when. His attacks are slower than most of the others and can be more easily avoided. The dynamites must be charged (unless you are right next to him) and then thrown. He whistles before the bull, which then travels in a straight path.

I do not disagree that he is OP but I think some complain a bit too much. Clunk's missiles are insane at max. His explosion can do 100 damage and the short detonation is hard to get away from. Yuri's mines can do up to 78 damage each. Froggy G's dash + tornado can pretty much kill anyone except Clunk. Leon's tongue can when used well lead to instant kills and the slow attack is very hard to get away from.

We know many of the other characters will be nerfed in the patch and I do think Lonestar should be nerfed too. Not sure how exactly. Dynamites do less damage with more sticks, blaster do 4 base damage? If you remove the missiles then you need something else to compensate. Without making his attack too similar to Froggy G's.

I wrote this just now in another thread, but the biggest problem with Lonestar isn't that the missiles are too powerful, it's that they come out too quickly. Level 5, and you can be packing both missles. He is clearly the dominant force on the board in the early game, and that leads to kills and then even further advantage/disadvantage.

Tiered missiles. Same money buys you two missiles at 7 power each, then the second round buys you the big boy versions.
