Interesting how you put it with the super droid, i hadn't quite thought about it like that before.

The list of effects I mentioned already happens when your team loses a turret, but it's not healthy game strategy to think "oh, I don't have to defend my turret because I will get a super droid" when you should really be thinking "I should defend my turret because I don't want to expose my core."

Insert small indestructible turret under the overhang of the solar drill, this turret does half the damage of the regular turrets

Would regular droids still gain the shield they normally gain when approaching a regular turret?

Leon is supposed to be Yuris hard counter, not lonestar.

Says who? Is there a single Yuri main that agrees with that?

Says me I guess,I don't know if others would agree but the way I see it Leon is Yuri's overall greatest threat. A good leon can snatch you out of the air no matter your position with tongue and prevent any hopes of escape with slow, his clones can also destroy his mines and knock him out of the air. Stealth allows him to get the jump on him much better than lonestar and he's more difficult to flee from. Lonestar is still fearsome but as long as you stay up high he's not too big a problem since he can't force you to come out of your safe zone without getting behind you with bull.

No, the shields normally activate when they are attacking the turret but they are attacking the core instead(explanation as to why they don't activate). In order for the underhang turret to be useful to the defending team the shields musn't be able to activate, otherwise it would end up being more helpful to the attackers, defeating the purpose of it. Either that and the shields do activate, but the turret always fires at any enemy awesomenaut first before shooting droids, or maybe a mix of everything.

His tongue can only be aimed in eight directions. If he's cloaked it doesn't matter as much, but I rarely stay still with Yuri at all, especially with a Leon after me. If he isn't cloaked it's usually obvious when he's trying to get into position to grab you. He also has lousy control in the air, which is basically where Yuri lives.

and prevent any hopes of escape with slow,

Once again, Electrifier is not inescapable. Early game I break out most of the time (if I get killed it's usually to the immobilize on slow bug or a team ambush). When Time warp is upgraded enough I can hunt down and kill them with very little trouble. Either way, it's less of a threat than a Dashtornado™ from Froggy or a Lonestar knockback combo.

Minesweeping isn't exactly unique to Leon, and it takes a long time to clear them with clones unless you put them all in one spot. And I really don't see why knocking someone down with clones would be an issue.

If sneak attacks are a major problem you might want to work on positioning. Leon usually has a limited number of approach options, and a lot of them can be cut off with mines. On top of that, almost every Leon has habits that make it even easier to tell where they're coming from.
As for fleeing, no. Lonestar can chain knockbacks faster than Yuri can recover, and Froggy can catch him (or cut him off) even with Time warp/Flash running unless Yuri has a big head start.

For Leon to reach higher than Lonestar or Froggy (if he can at all) would require tongue grabbing you from off screen, which doesn't really accomplish anything unless there are others on his team waiting for you to get reeled in. If he's lucky he might land one hit before he falls and you can fly again, but that's about it. Lonestar can stick to you with triple jump and it will take a lot longer to recover if you get hit by a missile. Froggy can Splash dash and drop him all the way to the ground.
Also, if you're in a spot where nothing can reach you, you're little to no use to your team, and not a threat to the other one.

Yeah, Leon can have a hard time vs a competent Yuri in open spaces (Particularly Sorona). His tongue is a useful tool for this, but he's escapable as Yuri. Froggy G can get there quickly and stun you, which is more dangerous, and Lonestar has a few better ranged options.

IMHO, it's builds that counter other builds, and skill that can counter other skill. Each character can be built to take out another (at least the non-support 4). Sadly, you can't always bring the right skills into the game ahead of time, but you can do your best to do damage with the one you have.

A yuri who goes aura (which is quite popular since better players dont walk into mines very often, and heal-money) can easily escape leon, and even beat him 1v1 if he stacks his laser right, never underestimate the power of 35% slow on move, cooldown, and attack speed, combined with flash forward buffing yuri's hit rate and laser charging speed.

As far as clunk is concerned, only mechanical change i would like would be a slight vacuum, on Vacuum Bite. Its quite difficult sometimes to hit an erratic jumpy player when you have to account for jukes, vertical range, horizontal range, and lag. Whiffing bite leaves you quite vulnerable as well. Its not a huge thing, but on the list of imaginary wish list fixes that probably wont happen, that would be up there a bit.

Though i would love some cost reductions, its hard to build clunk with variety because everything he has is so expensive (bite is 155, all other abilities as far as im aware are 135, most of his ability upgrades cost 200 or more)

I don't find Leon to very troublesome as Yuri (secondary character). Sure, the slow blade can be especially hard on Yuri compared to other characters. The worst thing is a splash dash. Good reach and if it hit's you don't only fall down, you are stunned and can't activate the bubble. A good missile or dynamite Lonestar can be trouble, but then you are just a coward Yuri camping in some corner all alone dropping mines. As a Lonestar, I find you to be perhaps the most fun to kill :)
