 Post subject: New game modes? :)

Would anybody else like it if there were other game modes?
Like Deathmatch!

I would love to have a totally new map, with the soul purpose being to kill the enemy team.
You could do it by time limit or lives, and not worry about protecting your base.
Just plain old fashioned killing! I think it'd be fun.

There could still be turrets. But after they are killed, the enemy has no protection to heal.
Opponents can go all the way to both walls and kill even in the shops (provided they have passed the turrets)

Hm. Sounds interesting. But no protection while healing after the turrets are gone? that's just not fair.

If you did it so they weren't safe in their base once the turrets were gone, I would say playing with Lives would probably work. Teams of 3/4, not only is survival good for solar but it's the way to actually win the game. This would definitely encourage teamwork as well, as the benefits of being in a team in this mode are more apparent to less-experienced players.

You could use those blue and red barriers. I think that they would work better than turrets work if you were to do a death match style map.

The big problem is that the characters aren't designed for deathmatch play, so some of them are lacking (Yuri and Voltar most notably), even in a team death match.

As for the heal/safe zone issue, simply have a 30 second or 1 minute timer that ejects them into play after that, so they can't hide.
