This wouldnt work.
If you had an AFK player and a bot, you wouldnt be able to get enough votes to kick, if you only needed one vote, you could kick anyone at any time, this would lead to griefing.
If you needed only 2 votes, 2 players could easily grief others.
If you needed 3 or more votes, you would rarely kick anyone, because why would someone on the other team do something that would hurt their chances of winning?
The ability to kick, combined with the late join system, would allow you to replace low level players with another, higher level bot or player, thus indirectly increasing your team strength by kicking someone, even if they arent necessarily AFK or feeding.
And finally....
With the community as small as it is, often times theres only a few lobbies open, would you keep kicking someone if the matchmaking kept putting them back into the match? How fair is that to them?

It is true that having somebody who is really terrible on your team, of which is surprisingly very likely, will mean that your team is sure to lose. It doesn't matter how good you are, two good players can not push three decent players with an idiot or a bot on their team.
This is 80% of all that's wrong with this game and the only way to fix it would be to get more people to play. What I don't understand is how well Minecraft did for the Xbox, it's just a slightly worse version of the pc version I bought for half the price of the Xbox version a few years back. Those people would have had more fun if they had bought Awesomenauts instead.

Kicking in this kind of game really isn't fair, when you play a PuG you should expect your teammates to be horrible in all team games. If you don't want to get paired with bad players then just make a team but don't add some stupid kicking system that people will abuse similar to what they do in L4D2, I absolutely hate getting kicked by some * the second I join a match and would be happier without it.

I maybe should have reworded this
I don't mind if I have a bad player is on my team as long as he is sincerely trying to help out, but the guy on my time was most likely a feeder since he gave a good chunk of solar to the enemy team since as soon as he respawn he automatically went for the solar boss, if they were already dead he would just afk till they came back.
If there isn't a kick system can there be at least a decrease in solar a enemy can geat if your teammate is on a dead streak

Most important for me is still an afk timer.. anyone that doesn't do anything for 1 minute should get kicked. I played a match with an afker a few days back, I ended losing 11 -2 with clunk, and that's only because it was 2 vs 3, the 3rd started at our turret, then went afk on our bot drop thing on AI station, waiting to be killed.

I think a 2 minute timeout to punt is needed, would fix the AFKing.

no, the timer should only be active if the afker is not at least behind ur last turret. What if ur phone rings, or something important. Surely that would come first over some game, and u shouldnt be kicked for that.

So what? A phone call can take a lot of time, and most of those guys I encounter stay afk the whole match. Very annoying because you can hardly win 2 vs 3. And what's the big deal for them anyway? They drop a bit on the leaderboards maybe, no problem.

Yes, I agree that a low level player could be very annoying but, it is not fair to the player your kicking and to the other team if you get another better player or a good bot.
