Guys, not really an apropiate place to discuss about Linux missing features...

On topic, is there a way to change the audio codec or is it "bound" to MPEG-2? While talking about codecs, is there a way to support other codecs as well? The MP4 file that the encoder gives can't be opened on Sony Vegas and I need to re-encode it once again to be able to open it in there.

Wrong. I've been AI modding on Linux for almost a year. The editor comes packaged with the Linux version and runs very well through Wine.

...thinking like that you should run the whole steam and Awesonemauts under Wine or in a virtual machine...

I'll say it again, if the Linux version development would be relegated to what can be achieved without too many complications, they should have clarified before and did not. I could run it non-natively way, but I paid the game and the expasión because I want to run it on Linux :fist:

Sorry about off-topic, but the talk came up because in this topic was informed that the encoder would not be available on linux.

Update: Got this to work by re-downloading ffmpeg. Somehow had a 36MB ffmpeg executable, one that worked is 335KB. However, you also have to have the included dlls in the bin folder copied as well (not just ffmpeg)
----
So I'm trying to get this to work, but it says that opencl.dll is missing. I go ahead and search for opencl.dll on my computer, find two of them, and copy one into the folder with ffmpeg. Now it tells me that opencl.dll is either not designed for windows or has an error.

I run Steam and its files on a different drive than my system drive. Graphics card is Intel HD Graphics 3000, running Windows 10 build 10240 (RTM/official version)

Also, whatever audio codec is used with mpeg1 output is not very good... so that's not an acceptable alternative...

The audio codec seems to output a lot of what I believe is "clipping" for sounds such as nuke explosions and the like. Is this a known issue with the replay to video encoder, and/or is there a way to mitigate this?

I'd really like to get an answer to this, I like the encoder but running the video trough another encoder to get it opened on Vegas for editing is
1. A waste of time
2. Most probably will affect the quality of the video in a bad manner.
Have searched the internet for a while but haven't got anything definitive for an answer.
