...does not work at all. Since the beginning of max focus' release. The item would be so terrible even if it did work (watch this space for a max focus balance thread, it should just be replaced) so nobody buys it anyway, however it doesn't do anything.

The item is supposed to give slowmo shot a 40% lifetime increase, however slowmo shot is coded in a way where it is set to explode after it reaches a certain distance.

Bullet:BoizorBall_maxTimeToLive = 2.2
Bullet:BoizorBall_maxTimeToLive*BoizorBallRange1 = 1.4
Bullet:BoizorBall_explodeAfterDistanceTraveled = true

This means that longevity works only when you buy pete jennirks (slow moving ball) thanks to the last line.

tl;dr longevity on slowmo shot doesn't work because the ball auto detonates after it has reached its base distance travelled. A 40% time bonus should be very noticeable in game, but it's not there.

No that's just something else Ronimo broke with their revolutionary 4.4 patch along with the Kraken bug.
In 4.3 the distance was capped at 2000 while it's capped at 14 in 4.4

Actually that means that slow-mo shot lasts 0.2s less than it should in 4.4 without any upgrades since it moves at 7 units/s. Nice job.

I'm assuming this is all down to the 4.4 skill assist thing. The visualizer probably uses the same internal bullet range value, so they changed the 2000 to 14 to make it work correctly with it without realising the upgrade exists. The 0.2s less longevity on base doesn't mean hardly anything in terms of max gameplay but yeah that's pretty annoying now that you bring it up.

While messing around with skill assist I also noticed max just inherently bounces up and down while not moving which is weird as hell. Hold down scene illumination for the indicator and it just wobbles up and down.
