I've decided to write down as many of those as I remember; since even one of the devs had problems with understanding what were we writing, what about the newcomers?

  • 'Naut, Naut, Awesomenaut, Class, Char, Character, Hero, Toon - These are synonymous.
  • AA - Auto Attack; Term refers to "normal" attacking ability (i.e. Lonestar's blaster shots, Leon's slashes etc).
  • AFK - Away From Keyboard, refers to person who's not playing the game (altough exists in a match).
  • AIDS - "To get an AIDS", "To be victim of AIDS" - to suffer from unexpected (bugged) leaderboard reset. This terminology was officially discouraged by Ronimo beacuse it shows lack of compassion towards victims of horrible, terminal disease.
  • AoE - Area of Effect; refers to abilities that deal damage (or do something else) in an area.
  • Backdooring - Avoiding and evading all enemies to stealthily attack drill or turrets (while they're acting someplace else, being unable to defend there). Considered dirty tactic by some.
  • BM - Bad Manners.
  • BHS - Black Hole Sun, one of Sentry's abilities.
  • Bitesplode, Snaresplode - As Clunk using bite with snare and exploding while opponent is still snared.
  • BKM - Baby Kuri Mammoth.
  • BL, LB, TB - Ball Lightning, Coco's ability.
  • Blind - Similiar to CC; The player (as in, person in front of the monitor) has screen obscured with blackness, except for small circular are around the character.
  • Boomerang - Genji's normal attack.
  • Boss - Solar Boss.
  • BRB - [I'll] Be right back.
  • Buff - Situation when the developers make something in the game stronger.
  • Build - List of upgrades which someone likes to get; example in a sentence: "My Lonestar build for dynamite is additional stick, flash grenade and incendiary bomb".
  • Bulled - Happens when a Lonestar successfully pushes a target with his Holo-Bull.
  • Bullpin - The act of Lonestar using his Holo-Bull to trap an enemy against a wall or turret.
  • Burst - An attack (or series of attacks) with particularly high damage within very short period of time.
  • Bush/Brush - An area where nauts become invisible to enemies outside. Seen in the middle of Sorona and Ribbit IV.
  • Care - Be careful.
  • Carry - Character who "carries their team to victory on their shoulders". In Awesomenauts these are, for example, characters who are capable of great successes regardless of rest of the team's performance, or characters who are somehow focal point of team composition. Also used as a verb; Typical use in a sentence would be "I can carry us", "that player carries them" etc.
  • Cat Derpl, Catling Gun - Derpl build which revolves around usage of cats.
  • CC, Crowd Control - abilities that affect other character's movements and abilities; currently only ones in the game are Snare, Stun, Slow and Silence.
  • CD - Cooldown.
  • CDR - Cooldown reduction (referring to upgrades that reduce ability cooldowns, such as Hacking Satellite, Cattle Rebooter, Gyroscopic Dynamo and Hydraulic Sugar Dispenser).
  • Crit - Critical hit (some upgrades allow these).
  • Critstab - Leon using both Clover of Honor and Backstab Blade.
  • Cloak, Invis, Stealth - Invisibility.
  • Crying - Whining.
  • CTT - Can't Touch this; one of Froggy G's abilities.
  • DC - Disconnect.
  • Deflect - Abilities that do it can nullify enemy solid, liquid, missile and Coco projectiles.
  • Dev - Developer.
  • Divebomb - Clunk's strategy of spotting your opponents of a minimap, getting high up, and timing explode so that when he'll fall enemies' time to react will be as miniscule as possible.
  • DoT - Damage over Time.
  • Double Pills - Taking both health upgrades (free and paid one).
  • DPS - Damage per Second.
  • DuoQ, DuoQueuing - Playing the game with one friend invited.
  • Facemite - Using Lonestar's dynamite on an opponent that's right next to him.
  • Feeding - Situation when specific player keeps dying without accomplishing any goals; person doing so is often named feeder.
  • Footsies - Two teams keeping distance to each other, waiting for others to engage or make mistake.
  • Free Pills - Power Pills (neither turbo nor light).
  • Fruggo Jay - Froggy G.
  • Gank - Unexpected attack of multiple opponents onto smaller amount of players. In other words, an ambush.
  • GG - Good Game; some people believe it to be courteous to end games with it, some feel offended with it if their team did particularly imperfectly.
  • GJ - Good Job.
  • HF - either of two things:
    • Have Fun.
    • Heavenly Fire - one of Coco's abilities.
  • HiC, Hurt in Confusion - A player who, in the midst of an ambush or fight, activates one or more of their special abilities, but misses any or all enemies present and ends up hurting themselves. Usually applies to Clunk players using their self-destruct too soon and missing their target.

  • N1 - Nice one.
  • Nerf - Situation when the developers make something in a game weaker.
  • Nest - An area where Gnaw has set up his weedlings.
  • NJ - Nice job.
  • OP - OverPowered; when something is considered too strong when compared to the rest. Antonymic to UP.

  • Premade Team - Team full of friends who play together.
  • Proc - Process; refers to abilities which work "when something happens" (quite a broad term).

Remind me of the ones I've forgotten, please! There are plenty of those I'm sure, but I just can't about them of the top off my head. Pointing out any mistakes also would be nice.

Also, if you're not sure what something means, this is the good place to ask.

Thanks! Never heard about "bulled" one, but I've added it regardless!

Though most probably know this,

GG - Good game, players normally do this after a match regardless whether or not they considered it a "good game"

And one I think should be used,

Hurt in Confusion, HiC - A player who, in the midst of an ambush or fight, activates one or more of their special abilities, but misses any or all enemies present and ends up hurting themselves. Usually applies to Clunk players using their self-destruct too soon and missing their target.

Dunno if this is one too, but possibly Outrange- to attack a turret from a particular range or distance that allows the player to avoid damage from the turret while still hitting the turret.
Seems a bit intuitive though.
