Hi everyone,
I got SaS with the HumbleBundle. The game is very funny, but I got a problem: The background music is lagging as hell. Everything else runs smooth. I don't have any problems with the graphics or the soundeffects. I'm using archlinux 64 bit.

How many CPU cores do you have? are you using pulse audio? By default the game will use pulse audio as the output device if it's available.. If you don't have a multiple-cores that can cause lag problems. Sending direct through ALSA will usually solve that issue.

Simply create a .alsoftrc file in your home folder. (~/.alsoftrc)
with the following contents

Code:
drivers = alsa,pulse

That basically specifies the "order" to try the various back-end drivers that openal-soft will use. (read me on the openal-soft page)

Here is the "sample" alsoftrc file http://repo.or.cz/w/openal-soft.git/blo ... trc.sample

I have 4 cores with 2,4 GHz. Creating the file didn't change anything. I'm using pulseaudio. Is there a way to verify I didn't do something wrong with the file?

Ok, we have a "packaging" issue. A pre-final build which had this sound issue was pushed out instead of the final release.. I am working with HB to get the correct build out there ASAP.
