ok it's no secret that the ai on the bots in this game is questionable, right? thats fine, we know the glitches where they get stuck happens, they'll solo push while the entire other team is at your base, yeah it sucks.

but there's a few bots in particular that having on your team is just an automatic loss. i cant check to be sure, but im pretty sure ive literally never lost against yuri bot and literally never won with him on my team. like he literally just walks into people, doesnt try to get out, and just keeps going until he's dead.

a couple short examples (out of 100s, so please don't give me some "PILLOW THESE ARE ISOLATED CASES!!!!"):

like, thats not playable with on your team. i would say derpl does that less frequently though still pretty common. that is yuri bot in 100% of my games. and that's not even remotely passable as AI. Fighting Yuri bot makes me feel like I'm in the alpha of a game, harsh but I'm just being honest. If I saw a yuri player doing this stuff, I would be shocked if he even had 30 hours. there would be zero way to rationalize a derpl player doing that outside of not having completed the tutorial or their keyboard broke.

idk if the plans are to make good bots or anything or what ronimos or the communitys opinion on this is, but regardless of future bot plans, i think only some select bots of the current ones should be in the public matchmaking (and probably the bots only mode) until any future bot plans are implemented, if any.

A huge emphasis afaik right now seems to be making Awesomenauts feel like a complete game and the bots just stick out like a sore thumb.

I'm just saying, remove the straight up awful bots. You can at least try to win with like a swiggins, leon, coco, sentry, clunk, rae. you're handicapped sure, but there's a point to playing.

with yuri and derpl (and there's lonebot who spends more time bulling droids than league 9 lonestars do) it just doesn't even feel worth it. in 100% of cases i would rather have a literal 2v3 with no 3rd on my team than have yuri bot. hes a big solar pinata thats probably dealt 1000 dmg by the end of the game.

anyhow, thoughts?

Bots are forgotten. I don't really believe that Ronimo cares about them at this point. I hate having most of bots on my team in normal game.

On the other hand it is possible for us, community, to improve them.

Oh and... Add CheckAmmo funtion.

The AI of those bots clearly is way worse than the other bots.
I agree with Pillow, these bots should be removed until their AI is useful towards their team instead of the enemy team. :raehands:

Actually, from what I heard last, when the cooldown change was reverted, Skreebot started using sawblade again.
Unless something else happened that made him stop using it.

frankly, im not really interested in developing AI unless im being paid to do so nor as the customer should there be any expectation for me to do so.

if someone else in the community decides to fix all the bots, more power to them. but, again as a customer, i have a very reasonable expectation for their final product to be as solid and well programmed as the developer's themselves could do

I'm pretty amazed that Ronimo outsourced their bot AI in the first place.
At the moment, the Swiggins and Ayla bots are the only ones you can ever rely on, but the Ayla bot got hit hard because Ayla got nerfed.
