 Post subject: All these "leaves a trail"- items are making gameplay messy

Rocket as the newest addition.

I played a game where enemy had Rocket, with trail leaving missile and trap with homing bullets, Coco with her normal trail and Coco Ball trail, and Ix leaving AA trail as well. Our team had Rocket doing the same, and sentry with homing AA.

There I was standing as a Clunk, looking at the mess on the screen. Everything leaving so many small particles on the field, that basicly it was "air is toxic, dont touch the air" all over the place. There is literally no place to move at all, without taking some trail damage from some or more sources. Not to mention that I cannot track what trail is whose, when there is so much of that on the screen.

One per team is manageable, but this is getting worse and worse, as almost all new nauts are handed some form of trail or insta dmg area denial tool now. I prefer upgrades that take skill to land and are avoidable over dps damage all over the places.

It doesn't annoy me much - I'm not trying to keep track of how much damage will be dealt to me, it's impossible anyway. I just dive in and retreat when i feel like it's needed.

Ha, guess its my preferences then only. I just like things being seen in easily readable siccors-rock-paper fashion, and screen full of particles here and there and everyone sparying those around mindlessly just makes my old brain hurt.

no, i definitely feel ya.

it's kind of inevitable as more characters are added. there are grosser things to come. just wait til we get a 3rd stealth character. or, 5 years from now when we have a team of ix-likes.
