I would rather they stopped pumping out as much content as possible in the shortest amount of time possible and instead focused on less frequent, more carefully designed things that might actually draw people towards the game, instead of just marginally slowing the decline for a week.

From all I've seen on this forum you're dedicated to disliking literally anything they do, so I don't see how that'd make a difference to you.

It is impressive that you know me better than I know me.

I would be all for a bit of community collaboration—hard to do without discussions, though.

Nominated. Not that it helps a lot- my nominatios for about anything usually just jinx things up, and my favourites never win anywhere.

The awards are just memes but I nominated Gigantic because while that game hasn't technically been in full release for that long it has been in a playable beta for quite a while and the dev team for that has gone through so much garbage to get to where they are today that they deserve the nomination.

Awesomenauts has me too burnt out to really nominate it due to sourness over the later content in its life cycle but I still commend all the work put into it, especially the artists, programmers (mod support mainly) and the guys at Sonic Picnic so I can see why someone would nominate Awesomenauts despite the roughness of more recent patches.

Then again the only another online game I play besides Awesomenauts, Depth, is pretty similar to Awesomanuts in many ways. Its an indie studio making a game they love, and constantly upgrade for the players for free. What they do better than Ronimo though, is listening and making players participate events. Recently there was a poll of a new Shark (character) to be added to the game, and since the outcome was so 50-50 they decided to add both for free. They have Awesome upgrade for their little game for years.

That said, as a game I still put Awesomenauts higher. Just when it comes to community and response from devs, that game is incredible.

We have very different defitions of "stopping".

I might have nominated them two or so years ago, but is it really a "labor of love" if they try everything under the sun to keep the playerbase from crashing?

No.

I forget what I nominated but it was not Awesomenauts. Image
