Yuri does not heal nearly as well as Voltar -- please stop spreading that myth. Yuri needs to earn a few levels before he can even buy his big healing upgrade; Voltar can do the same healing (+6 per beat) on his healbot right at the start with piggy bank > healbot > overheal potion, only with a bigger range and longer duration. With further upgrades, healbot sustain becomes crazy good.

The only thing that bugs me about the Voltar drones is either how good/bad the drone explosion can be on enemies. Really, it's oftentimes luck that determines whether spamming two sets of explosions hits the enemy. If they do... that enemy is in a world of hurt... if they don't... Voltar's as good as dead.

Would be a nice change if they would be fired in a volley like the intro animation shows them doing. Probably would also serve as a balance change since they wouldn't all detonate in a sizable burst like they currently can do at times.

Yea voltar had an item that lets him def his small bots they replace it with blind effect which sucks:(

People made this same argument with Yuri awhile back, saying he was no fun to play coz he just spams mines.

I'm not sure if it's quite the same argument with Voltar, since I generally find him pretty boring to play, but at that time I pointed out what wasn't fun for them was still fun for me.

I'm sure some Voltar players would agree.

Fun is of course a purely subjective thing, but skill ceiling is not -- and Voltar's is unfortunately the lowest in the game. No other character is easier to play effectively than Mr. Omniscient Brain, and after you master a few simple tricks (such as maneuvering properly via jumping/hovering, healing wave knockback shenanigans, explosion drone builds) there's no way you can excel over another Voltar through player skill when compared to other characters; you hit a plateau way too fast.

This is the main reason why I prefer Yuri over Voltar, even though I love both characters in concept and design.

Huh, Yuri was always fun to me. When the game first came out I loved playing as him because I was so bad at it, made the game more challenging.
