I asked Ronimo before hand on Twitter, and they said it was cool.

For Anyone New to IRC(Internet Relay Chat) its a real time chat server.

Benefits of using IRC?
- Quick and easy
- If you are looking for players, you can ask then and there and don't have to worry about time or date
- Free
- Much more

Who knows, if the IRC channel gets big enough, maybe some of the Awesomenauts staff members will join the party.

I don't keep my web browser on the forums, facebook or twitter all the time. However I do keep IRC open 24/7. You can even check IRC though your phone! So this is the more convenient way to get together with the community for me. Even though the channel is for Awesomenauts, we can still have general chat. This is just another way to get the community together. I have the topic setup and moderation bot all ready to go.

Rules are pretty much the same as the CoC. forum-coc.html

So how do you go about joining?
For people that know about IRC, here is the server/channel info.
Server: irc.rizon.net
Channel: #Awesomenauts
Port: (leave default, I think it is 6667)

Webchats
(The webchats may be unstable and buggy, they are only here for a quick way to get connected)

30 day "trial". I think it keeps working after 30 days though.

HexChat - http://www.hexchat.org/
I use this one. It is simple, support themes if you mess with them. Works on Linux also. Free.


How to register your nick name so no one takes it. (Once register you should get a command on how to sign in)

Thanks guys. I am there 24/7. I may not reply if it shows I am sleeping though. For now it may be awhile to get the channel starting, since it is older technology and people prefer to use Twitter, Facebook and stuff like that.

IRC usually takes awhile to get populated. Most people just come and go without actually waiting. Plus the timezone is different. If we don't reply, just type our name in change to highlight us. On most IRC clients, it will made the name bold or colored and make a beeping noise.

Not sure if I did this, or if it is just the servers, but I can no longer join the chat because it says "server unavailable refresh page". The chat was working fine until I tried going fullscreen in chat.

Was I supposed to port forward?
