They've already wrapped up V1.1 anyway, we're just waiting for it to drop and making noises until it does. And when it does, something new will be the most powerful thing, because true balance is impossible, and then there will be people that moan about that, and others that call the first group wimps that need to man up, and then there will be a new patch and back to square one we shall be.

So I'm a hater of a game I've put about 50 hours into, made 5th prestige, joined the fan forums for and tell all my friends that they need to play, and is the best time I've had since with an XBLA game since Bastion?

You're quite close to being my very own troll dude...

A caveat - This is the most well balanced online game I think I've ever played, honestly.

However there will always be something dominant. It's the nature of the game, especially one with as many variables and moving parts as this one.

Yeah.. with the new characters there may be op tactics again, but that's the only risk.
So far I think everything is well balanced, and things like leon's slow which are maybe a bit op for a fast character with high dps are going to be adressed in the first patch anyway.

I can attest to this. I've done it to froggy G a few times now. Don't think they had a shield though, so maybe that changes things up.

I didn't call you a hater. And if you're trolled so easily, by a guy who isn't even trying to troll, then you're justing looking for an argument.
Let me rephrase myself once again...

"Balance is possible"=Dev's usually can balance a game very well, that is not the problem.
"Just haters gone hate"=People will complain about every aspect of a game, making it seem severely unbalanced to them and those easily influenced.

This, a hundred times this!

There's so many uninformed opinions in this thread that don't take proper team play into account. But since Ronimo did such a great job at balancing the game in the first place I'm positive that they will keep that in mind.

I mention it because, if that combo were to be used more often, you'd have folks Ragequiting Left and Right. Personally I was amazed at how absurdly devastating it was. The bots sometimes tried getting on them only for the pair to be mauled. (One was a Clunk, so yea).

Thankfully it's been mentioned that Leon's Slow will be changed... here's hoping it's multiranked (and more expensive). The 2nd fastest character shouldn't have one of the cheapest slows, especially when it's spammable.

Another change I'd not be surprised if it were to happen would be the Froggy Stun booster. I personally prefer Damage + Two Clocks, but that Stun pretty much means you'll eat most if not all of a Tornado, then eat another Splash Dash soon after (or give the Froggy time to run). This is of course also ignoring whether he has allies that will pile up on stunned targets.

It is indeed quite true that most of these opinions are based upon single characters. Actually, more or less, every single one of them is completed nullified by a good team countering it.
I.E. Froggy D dashes a voltar, begins to tornado him. Lonestar tosses dynamite, destroying his shield, and then Clunk comes in, ensnares the Frog and proceeds with a self destruct.

Now all you have to do is find good komrades.

Or remove his shield and have a Leon tongue the Froggy. It nullifies Tornado as long as the shield isn't up. Have Silence and that's pretty much one dead frog unless he uses his very abusable teleport jump.
