I played a VERY annoying Lonestar/Yuri/Voltar comp yesterday..

Basically Yuri focused on Titanium/Uranium; Lonestar focused on Extra Stick/Mister TNT/Contact. Voltar was just pure heals with Happy/Euphoric and Energy/Overheal.

What they would do is 'deny' a huge area with mines/dynamite and sit in the middle with Voltar giving out mad heals. Trying to attack them head on was suicide with an instant death, and was impossible to move them from their position, especially when they're attacking a turret.

I literally could not figure out a way to beat their tactic.

Another Lonestar's bull could take the brunt of the damage,
Froggy G can dash a majority of them and take no damage himself,
Leon could pull the Voltar away from the mass of the group,
Yuri could laser from distance and drop bombs over their locations,
Clunk could become a martyr, self destructing near the Voltar and biting at the same time (probably dying from the dynamites),
Voltar can heal his allies dealing with the situation.

Of course all of this require teamwork. And if they have a lead on you, well that's another obstacle.

Nowadays all lonestars I encounter seem to play the same, the auto attack builds.. they all work just as well, you need no skill for that. And it is my most frustating experience with Awesomenauts lately, all these people picking this OP build.. Atm there only seems to be one counter next to a great playing team.. having one of those lonestars in your own team.

Yuri, mines and Leon, tongue. Need I say more? In some cases you can avoid it but it is basically an instant death. As soon as you see the Leon you are dead.

I just had the most frustrating match. I dropped in as Yuri to find the first turret gone and the last at 40% health. I am against sub-par players and luckily, they have a Voltar and Yuri - both of which are super susceptible to pulling and mines. After racking up 9 kills against these clowns, they are finally at my base and I do what I can to heal it, but my team is nowhere to be found... scratch that my Leon is dead because he refuses to defend and chain dies on their turrets. In my Clunks defense, he played valiantly and had just as many kills as me, but we just couldn't stop all three once they had their Lonestar with hyper bull come in and swat my minefield. All this brings me to my final point: I have played over a thousand matches and I have never seen someone get to 20 deaths in a match. That award now goes to the nameless Leon who must have had his thumb taped forward on the controller because that is the only direction I ever saw him go (even when an ally was clearly in need of assistance.) Has anyone out there seen 20+ deaths? This ordeal got me wondering if there was anyone else out there as terrible as that guy.

No, I used Froggy G during that match remember. I knew I was screwed in that match the second I saw your name and assassinine. I played with him before and I recognized your name from the board, but I don't get frustrated when there is no hope. I wish I would have had a competent team though. It makes me look like I suck when I lose that way. I think I had 1k/3d in that match, if I recall correctly. Hope to run into you again and show you that I am actually fairly good. Good hunting.

Hey BFIR I was the Clunk, it's a shame you came in so late (I remember you and was rather glad to see your name). With the Leon at 1/19 there was not much anyone could do, the first half was pretty much like playing with bots. Un-skilled players are understandable but very frustrating.

Playing Yuri, doing fine. 2 kills early game due to lack of skill on the other team. Then a Yuri joins on the other team misusing the pull laser to drag me into their turrets for a quick death. 2nd time that happened I just turned off my 360. I am so glad they are removing it in the patch.
