Clunk can do 100 damage in one blast and Yuri can do 78 damage with a single mine. Froggy G can stun and tornado more than 75 damage and both shield and dash completely blocks dynamites. Leon got so many tricks that if you die from dynamites at close range you are playing him wrong.
While I have many times hit people with dynamites at close range I have never been hit like that myself, except a few times as an unskilled Yuri. I play Lonestar a lot and I just laugh at enemy dynamites. I only get killed by dynamites if the Lonestar got backup. The dynamites are very expensive to build up (useless at first) and nerfed against turrets. I really don't consider them OP at all anymore. They are very useful if you know how to use them and the enemy don't. Missiles are far better as they are so much cheaper right now and to full damage against turrets. i dont believe the dynamite is op, but lonestar needs to be harder to use. and i can handle myself fine with leon.

in the defense, the missles will never hit any running away player because they fly slower than a guy without boots, the only thing will hit is his actual blaster shot which is 5dmg and expensive to upgrade to 9 and most people do it lategame after maxing the dynamites. making missiles costy won't solve the problem, making them do less damage can but everyone will ditch them in favour of double damage upgrade which will actually kill you while you running away. most of the time people die from the hand of lonestar because they are not teamed up or just suck at it, too persistent and c0cky to run away so he could be 100% saved. lonestar is a strong character but he is definetely overhyped as being the most OP thing in the universe, his slow bull is not that really used, because you either have it or a good offensive weapons and by the time you get both-the enemy will have it's own advantages bought. he is still not as annoying as froggy go sub-zero al over the place, i play froggy when i'm really pi$$ed and want to simply irritate people off their socks.

While it's true that a retreating player is less likely to get hit by Lonestar's missiles, if they are forced to retreat out of the lane or jungle they are giving up solar to the enemy. Also, people don't pick missile Lonestar for their chasing ability, it's because they are so easy to use and deadly combined with his triple jump and the missile's burst AoE damage and almost flawless homing.
As for the Slow Bull, a Lonestar can start investing in it after just using 575 solar for both missiles and boots, and with some more solar a 3 second slow bull can be attained fairly quickly. Don't even get me started on the Super Bounce dynamite of his, I've seen some bad Lonestars that are great at using this to just deny your team and creeps the entire lane from the safety of their turret.
IMO, the OP'd characters are ranked like this: 1st Lonestar (Triple Jump), 2nd Froggy (Annoying Invincibility) G, 3rd Leon (Just cause), 4th Voltar (Late game joiners with max DPS drones are annoying). Clunk and Yuri are just fine for now.

I was just about to create a topic just before i saw this one. Lonestar is the most disgusting, most unbalanced character from any game i have ever played (apart from vanilla street fighter 4 Sagat).
I can 100% guarantee that the patch notes that have been put forward WILL NOT fix him either. 1)He does WAY too much damage with a missile build making him better than Leon at ganking. 2)With contact dynamite he can do better than Yuri with just them alone. 3)His fire rate is WAY too high even without upgrades. 4)His missile fire rate is too high. 5)His missile damage is too high. (10 would be MUCH better) 6)He is above average speed it seems, He caught up to me when I was playing froggy and splash dashing away. 7)His bull can reach up to a 60% slow speed. That is absolutely disgusting when he pushes you INTO his teams turret. Guaranteed kill. 8)Homing missiles? Really? I personally think they should fire in a straight line. This would fix a lot of what makes the missiles absolutely despicable. 9)Taunting. Lonestar players are in no position to taunt. That would be like giving a 1 minute old baby a water gun, while a dragon has a nuclear missile and the dragon taunting after it absolutely decimates the baby.

I always crack up when I see a Lonestar player taunting for the same reason. That makes it all the more rewarding when they rage-quit shortly before my team wins the game though.

I live to make missile Lonestars rage quit. It's a love hate relationship though because then I am stuck playing bots. So many rage quitters...
