I was wondering if it could be possible to allow 100x100 avatars on this forum. Big enough to have a spam-safe environment, and it could add certain variety.
I just whipped up a little something I'd like to use here and got bummed upon discovering there was no URL avatar option.

We had this feature previously, but we were getting too much spam and * in the icons.  So that's why it is disabled.

How about giving this abillity once a user reaches 50-100 posts? It would be hard to find a solid balance, though. Too high and people would be encouraged to write nonsense to increase their post count, too low and spam bots might spam their way up to avatar rights. It's a problematic issue.

Actually, I think it is a lot of fun as it is: there are a ton of icons to choose from, and they are all related to our games, which brings the community together a bit more. I really enjoy seeing who picks which icons!
