With the addition of yet another water based character, a friend and I realised there are no fire characters. Which is unfortunate, because who doesn’t like a pyro?!). So watch your back Froggy, Vinnie & Spike and Admiral Swiggins!

Awesomenauts characters design: Fire-Fighter

Slow, area denial, dps

Backstory
Mr. Fighter worked on an intergalactic fire ship, preventing stars from expanding and collapsing galaxies, saving millions of lives. He was on a standard mission, and was again working bravely to save a well-populated planet. He and the other workers eventually managed to quell the fire. He was invited to an award ceremony, hosted by the billionaire, Babl Zork. Zork stated he needed someone with bravery and courage to help fight of rival solar mining companies, and recruited Mr. Fighter, who was promptly given the nickname “Fire”.

Appearance
Standing at a rather tall 5 9” Fire wears an adapted Fire-fighters uniform, with a large gas canister on his back. His large boots clunk on the ground when he walks, making him seem heavier than he actually is. In his hands, a long flame-thrower protrudes; a thin red pipe connects it to the canister. Fire is slim, but his outfit adds weight, making him seem muscular and large. His gas mask is the feature you meet last, his face is completely obscured, giving a sinister aura. His voice is slightly muffled, his words are raspy, as if he needs a drink of water.

General
Slow movement speed
Medium-large health pool
Swinging down platform skill
Can hang off edges of all solid platforms
His Jump is a hop small (like Coco’s)

Auto attack – Flame-thrower (2s cd)
Fire turns on his almighty flame-thrower
This pierces enemies, but does no damage to turrets
Its starts at a range of 3, but shrinks to melee range slowly over a 10s period

DPH: 2
Attack speed: 300

Skill one – Surf’s (burnt) up (8s cd)
Fire creates small disc of earth, which he stomps on, creating a small ripple of lava emanating from that point.
The lava melts all droids and creeps instantly, yielding their respective drops

DPH: 30
50% chance to set someone on fire
DPH: 10
Duration of DOT: 2s
Attack speed: 60

Skill two – Flame trap (8s cd)
Fire pauses for a second, and scrawls a symbol on the ground
When an enamy walks over this symbol, they are silances

DPH: 20
100% chance to set someone on fire
DPH: 5
Duration of DOT: 4s
Attack speed: 60

This idea seems great, although what kind of "accent" I guess you could say, would this character have? Since most characters have some kind of theme ( like Lonestar is a cowboy, so he has a southern slang. ) Just a thought.

Oh yeah, forgot about that. It was like 6 am or something while we were talking.

Well our discussion made me think of this. Sorry about the bad quality. I tried to color it but I'm worse than a two year old. I'll try to get a better quality if necessary.

Thats actualy prety good.
The helmet kind if needs to be more gas-masky, at the moment its more austronauty
And i was thinking of puting a frustum on the end of the flame thrower.

How's that? The helmet on the lower right is an alternate design.

That helmet is almost perfect.
I'm not sure if i prefer the alternative or the used one. Probably the later.

Although i was thinking the flame thrower would be slightly longer, with the narrow end of the frustum towards the target, should have been more specific. But the base is spot on.
