The gestures make it, especially Ayla's.

That's actually the BSL sign for her name, you know.

Props to Ayla for... that.

Sailor Moon.

Art is excellently drawn/shaded as always. I don't like the thickness myself, but thankfully Ayla is faithfully reproduced.

I'm at kind of an impasse with artistic liberties/sexualization, and I have been for years. On one hand, I'm in the minority who isn't attracted to big breasts and butts, and I get tired of seeing every single artist everywhere taking modest, pretty female characters and warping them so they all have the same body type. On the other hand, we're talking about internet art (and often prawn) here, and it's not for me to tell artists what to do.

In the end, everyone's free to draw what they want to draw. I just get frustrated at being in this minority, I guess. I really just like it when characters as a whole are kept true to their original designs. It doesn't bother me to see characters who are already big and buxom drawn that way (Nami, Orihime... I guess Coco counts), but it's frustrating to me to see every character everywhere K-cuppified.

Why keep true to the original designs and attract a small number of people when you can hypersexualise everything to almost fetishistic levels and attract an absolutely enormous number anatomical deviants?

For me, it's interesting how the objectification of the form only seems to cause friction—that's a poor choice of word—when it's the female form. Most of what I've seen on DeviantArt will go out of its way to sexualise men to absolutely no backlash whatsoever. I mean, no one meaningfully protests He-Man, do they?

...wait, do they? That could be a thing by now.

I mean, me personally, I don't mind that big and buxom characters exist. I don't protest Orihime here.

I just wish there weren't so many artists who bumped everyone up 5 flesh sizes so that B-cup characters become G-cups and the ones that were already G-cups are up to L-cups. It's the lack of faithfulness that bothers me, and the way that artistic liberties always seem to go a particular way: giant breasts and asses. It gets old seeing every piece of artwork of every female character looking the same way, regardless of what the character actually looks like.

As for men... I see more variety in their designs most of the time, even among prawns. But then, I don't seek out as many images of men, so.

Well, I could honestly do better at differentiating the body types. :/
Rae shouldn't be Chun Li levels of thunder thighs for one. I imagine her more thin than that but I guess my brain got infected by the old Hips-Rae idea... let's see how many people remember THAT series of fanart

I'm still trying to keep them a bit different than each other, but I gotta work on that more if I keep drawing them.
Speaking of, some lady 'Nauts doodles

Really liking that Dizzy and her weird frog tongue.

Also, never forget Hips Rae.
