When attempting to export video using the replays feature, all of my videos have crackly sound. I've tried every encoder including the external encoder, but none fix the problem. Ingame sound is fine, and the video visuals are completely fine, it's just the audio in my exported video.

Same exact issue here as well, doesn't matter if I choose MPEG1 or x264 (my guess is that they use the same codec).

I describe it as "clipping," not sure if that's the correct term. Is there any way to mitigate this, other than recording the replay directly?

I checked out other people's uploaded replays, and they too have this odd "clipping" issue, although it's not as bad. My guess is that they probably lowered the sound volumes in-game - I'll try that.

Update: This is indeed the solution to mitigate the issue. Will now be trying to find the maximum volume I can reach without clipping occurring.

Does it help if you set your volume much lower in the in-game settings?

It definitely helps to lower the volume in-game to 3 bars. Only time I hear clipping is during Skolldir's earthquake (Derpl's nuke does not clip).

Does setting volume to 1 remove the clipping altogether, or is it present even then?

Recently tried to export a replay and had this issue again, so I'm bumping this topic. Sounds like Derpl's Nuke and Clunk's Explode have an extremely large amount of this clipping that almost deafens the entire video for the few seconds it plays.
