You know I'm Australian but the game is unplayable as in I cant find an actaul online match as an Aussie because theres no players at all in the surrounding regions or in my own and the reason why is the following

Client hosted matches
This is very outdated you know it makes sense for private matches but you cant have leagues and ranking in a game that has client hosted matches, This is why the game is dead.

Stupid match making system
if Im searching for pvp why put me in a bot match??? I CLEARLY DIDNT WANNA PLAY A BOT MATCH just KEEP SEARCHING
Like even when I search with people out of my region I still don't find matches with people?

I don't think you quite appreciate how expensive maintaining servers would be for Ronimo, nor how much development time it would take to migrate the netcode to an entirely new system for a game you believe already to be dead.

This is Galactron's fault, by the way. Favouring ping was never going to go well for those of you that live down under. My solution would be to attach a very large outboard motor to your continent and use it as a boat—just propel yourselves towards us and your available matches should increase.

Ive searched for 2 weeks and found around about 10 people at most and it was all bad ping
So yeah totes not already dead
plus if games like mortal online can afford servers and maintain them I'm sure a bigger company can do the same.
*hint hint* servers arent that expensive *hint hint* the netcoding is something that needs to be done

As I said, your believing the game to be dead is not the same as the game actually being dead. The playerbase is absolutely abysmal and anyone trying to justify otherwise is kidding themselves, I agree, but it's not dead.

A "dead" game would be something like Battleborn or, according to Steam Charts, Mortal Online. The concurrent and average playercounts concern me.

You're also conflating "servers" with "Galactron". Those two things are not the same. Migrating from peer-to-peer to client-server would require (as far as I'm reasonably aware) rewriting every single piece of the network code. Even as someone that constantly complains that Ronimo does the bare minimum, that's a bit much to expect from them, particularly if you consider that going client-server would not be a worthwhile investment of their time from the point of view of returns on that investment.

Awesomenauts 2, however.

If you think there's a way to realise a client-server model without an extensive rewrite, Ronimo would love to hear it.

Im not sure if the game is peer to peer or client hosted.
But both mutiplayer models are too flawed
I would still love a fix on the "matchmaking rounds" and is something that could be redone

Sounds like you're playing at bad times, I can get games on the first cycle while living in NZ provided it's not later than around 10pm for me. There's quite a few people on and sometimes we do customs.

I wouldnt really call 12-5pm a bad time, plus NZ can connect to america with less ping then we can

Well, my internet connection is pretty nice. But when I play with aussies I also see people from NA. Sometimes I even connect to europe which is on the other side of the world. That's fun.
