With the old APL site and it's respective thread gone to poopy, I've decided to make a thread I'm surprised I haven't seen here yet. Here I present:

The Awesomenauts Mentoring Thread!

So, this thread is where you can post if you are looking for a mentor or are available to mentor others on the art of the game. Fancy graphics and banners will come later.
I'll update the OP with all of the available mentors and some information that they can post about to see if you would like one of them to take you under their wing. Please note that I as the creator of this thread have nothing to do with the experience you receive. If you find that a mentor has been showing unacceptable behavior of any kind, PM me about it and I may consider taking them off the list if they're really that bad. Other than that, all mentors are welcome.

So, how do I become a mentor?

Please either post here or PM me with the following information about yourself filled out:
Code:
Steam ID(Please Provide a Link):
Timezone:
Availability(what times you're available and when you'll have to become exempt from mentoring):
Mains:
Subs:
Hours Played:
Specializations(what kind of games you play, what kind of tricks you're particularly good at[OPTIONAL]):
Other Information(Anything else you think your mentee should know about you[OPTIONAL]):

Please note that to be a mentor you must be an active player! If you've played more than a few hours since the most recent patch was released, you're probably good to go. As long as you're somewhat active and you're familiar with the meta you'll get in. Also note that you might not want to post here if you're too busy to be an active mentor, but that's something you'll have to work out by yourself. Also, please notify me when you have a mentee, so I can put you on the "busy" list. If you become inactive for whatever reason, please notify me as well.

So, how do I find a mentor?

Just look at the list of available mentors and see who interests you based on their information. If you really don't know where to start, fill out the information below and I'll attempt to personally hook you up with a mentor I think will be good for you. A mentor might personally seek you out if you set yourself out, as well!

Here's the information to fill out if you're at a loss for a mentor:

Code:
Steam ID(Please Provide a Link):
Timezone:
Availablility(what times you're available and when you'll have to become exempt):
'Nauts Interested In(What 'nauts you would like to learn about):
Hours Played:
Particular Interests(what kind of things you're interested in learning in particular):
Other Information(Anything else you think your mentor should know about you[OPTIONAL]):

As a side note, here are some other resources to use when looking to become a better player:

General Guides
Various Builds
List of Terms and Abbreviations
The Wiki with lots and lots of information of many different kinds
Also check out steam guides and look around/post in the tactics forums for further help and specifics!
There are also a large multitude of guides on Youtube of all kinds. Feel free to do a YT search to see some footage and commentary of certain builds or guides!

Alright!
Hopefully, the time and effort you put into making this thread is going to be well spent. Unfortunately, I can't be a mentor, mostly because I don't consider myself to be a skillful person.
A mentor would be nice, though. Can't wait!

I'm looking to improve my Yuri and I'm in need of some mentoring. If you would have me I would like to be your student, Sensei.

Good to know that this has already helped somebody!

Also, it would be nice if people could let me know when they don't want to take in any more students, remember that!

If someone could mentor me that'd be just swell... I'd like to learn the ways of the Leon, I also used to be a good Ayla, but I just went 2/23 with her, and that's all I need to know I need to improve.

TL;DR: Leon and Ayla.

Add me on steam if you're interested.

Will we be learning Mine Placement first? I've often been told to stick my Mines up my, "ASS!!" but I'm not quite sure where on the map that is... If you can let me know that will be greatly appreciated Sensei.
