Dear all participants of the FST,

Please make sure you read everything, as important information is included.

Make sure you are familiar with the rules of the FST before playing.

PLEASE NOTE that all matches are Best of 5 (first to 3 wins) EDIT: this is no longer true. I have judged this based on quick testing that games last a lot shorter, BUT if we find this to NOT BE THE CASE, please let the organisers know ASAP. We will review whether it is appropriate to move to a Best of 3 match system.

The bracket is now available at the FST Battlefy.com page

Image

Games can be scheduled and played from now, though the official start of the tournament begins with the end of AAC.
The Steam IDs of the team captains can be found at Battlefy.com HERE so captains must add their opposing team’s captain to arrange the time for the match.
The brackets are seeded, but I will not be revealing the actual seeds and how they were decided. Any seeding you do see on brackets is not true.
PLEASE NOTE the Battlefy.com brackets tend to be glitch, so trust the other bracket over the Battlefy.com one.

The full schedule is available here: Image
We are in Week 1 – so everything up to Round 2 needs to be played BY SUNDAY NEXT WEEK at the latest. The first stream is happening this Friday, so having some matches to show would be nice!

First game Maps: (selected by RNG)
Round 1:
  • SWAT vs DCC – Sorona
  • MMM vs MRS – Aiguillon

Round 2
  • Gelati vs ? – Ribbit
  • EP vs NW – Aiguillon
  • MG vs ? – Aiguillon
  • Ion vs HDTV – Aiguillon

How to do the Naut drafting and Map picking
  • Pick the map as detailed in the rules using Steam chat
  • The first map is Random and I will tell you which map it is (see above)
  • Head over to http://awesomedraft.com/
  • Create a drafting session
  • Put FST as the tournament name, and the team names (it doesn’t matter which side each team is on)
  • Select map manually (as decided earlier)
  • Starting team is the team that LOST the previous game
  • The first game the starting team will be placed onto random in the options
  • The picks and bans will be as with the AAC – see FST rules for details
  • EXCEPT the last pick is blind. PLEASE pick something in this slot though so that the drafting session is saved. – the 3rd pick doesn’t impact what your ACTUAL 3rd pick is.

How to report match results
Send replay files in a .zip or .rar or any compressed format you use to nautsNST@gmail.com
Include in the email the result of the match
Include the links to the drafting sessions, available and saved at http://awesomedraft.com/

If there are any questions let me know.

Let the games begin! I hope you enjoy your matches,

Burrhe and Friends

Last time I checked, Ender Pearls had Blah. Did you exclude him from EP because he was a SA player playing in a NA/EU qualifier?

Blah was allowed to play with EP in the NA/EU bracket, but he was only allowed to play for one team, as his other team, BOOM, also applied for the SA bracket.

He had to make a choice and chose to play with BOOM :)

Dear all teams,

It has come to my attention that Best of 5 will not be a sustainable format for matches. I believed games would not last as long as they do and the very first match went through all 5 possible games and lasted nearly 3 hours.

I do not want this to repeat.

From now on all matches will be Best of 3.

The finals will be Best of 5 instead of Bo7.

If you have already played a Bo5 match the result still stands as it is.
Thank you all for the cooperation, I hope you enjoy the rest of your matches!

3rd July update; these are just the matches that have been streamed so far - to avoid spoilers only the team captains are made aware of the actual current bracket directly.

Week 2 matches are underway, so go get organising! All captains have received an email with the details of the upcoming matches.

It also comes with the very sad news that, unfortunately, ion have had to withdraw from the FST:

" As the one organizing and scheduling the games, I am the one to bring you the bad news. We - team ion - have to drop out of the Full Solar Tournament. Things have taken other turns than we expected. This decision has been influenced by multiple factors, two of them are: underestimating the effort to participate as well as our real-life responsibilities (exams, work, ...) and our motivation taking a bad hit after the aftermath of Awesome Cup 2.
I am sorry that we cannot live up to our expectations.

I hope you all enjoy the rest of the matches and viewers watching it :thumb:

Stay Fresh!

Week 3 matches are under way, so get organising!

First game maps have been sent to teams.

Rocco is officially banned, having just been released the balance has not come to a rest yet IMO with regards to him and you the players did not on the whole want him to be playable.
Good luck to all teams still playing, I believe it's definitely up for grabs atm.

Have fun and stay fresh!

Burrhe and Friends.

Important Announcement:

The end of the Full Solar Tournament has been postponed for now, with no fixed date as of yet when it will resume.

There have been several issues with the teams getting finished on time and some members of the Burrhe and Friends operation have been taken with major family occurrences, our thoughts are with them at the moment as they are dealing with those. At the moment I need all hands on deck as I myself have been swamped 24/7 looking after 9-13 year olds for nearly 2 weeks, and so needed the time to get everything in order before the FST can conclude.

We hope you all understand, and to the community looking forward to the Finals, they will happen and hopefully sooner than I am making out!

As always, for the community,

Burrhe and Friends
