Froggy OP v2.3

This improved froggy bot uses Veanko's SuperAI and many new techniques to improve his dashing and whirlwinding.
Features:
  • Triangle dash
  • Tornado-chasing
  • Escape with dash or fast whirlwind
  • Finish low targets
  • Effective against enemy droids
  • Scales well with difficulty
  • Listens to your call for help! Call for help and this bot will try to help you if he can.
  • Will focus on Swiggins anchor, sniping Raelynns and Voltar's healbot
  • New in v2.1! Improved dashing algorithm that detects whether there are glass platforms that prevent frog from dashing! (this was way more work than I'd like to admit)
  • New in v2.1! Will be more likely to buy RBAY instead of shield against certain nauts! (And less likely against certain other nauts like leon, yuri)

Changelog:

  • V2.3
    • Updated the bot for the new patch
  • V2.2
    • Made the bot easier on lower difficulty levels (shoots less often, has worse aim with shooting and dashing, built-in dashing delay, chases much less)
    • Bots on skill level 0 and 1 never buy utility items.
    • Bots on skill level 0 and 1 only buy items after 5 and 3 minutes respectively.
    • Hopefully improved movement on AI 205 in the triple jumppad area.
  • V2.1
    • Squished quite a few bugs with movement and pushing (thanks to hurleybird!)
    • Bot doesn't active botcheats anymore (this will be done in-engine in the next patch)
    • New loadout
    • Buys RBAY against certain nauts
    • Improved algorithm for dashing, taking glass platforms into consideration
    • probably some other stuff I forgot, I should really write this down
  • V2.0
    • Made a ton of changes (rewrote some stuff), primarely to make the bot more stable
    • Changed dashing mechanism
    • Made froggy chase better
    • Made frog less suicidal
    • Added new features to counter Swiggins, Raelynn, Voltar

I added logic for Penny using receivedPing and selectPingWaypoint and putting it in generalAI, but in my tests it never worked. :think:

Good job spitting it out so quickly. If I have some time I will test it tonight.

I support this bot.
It's pretty good. does a dash+whirlwind combo really well.

EDIT: I caught frog-bot try to shoot droids through a wall... Did you remember to tick "Check line of sight"?

Alright. Played a couple of matches against him. Screwed me over a couple of times, that dash is too powerful for me. :tear:
As for issues, he seems to have a habit of sleeping on the battlefield.
-He randomly stands still and does nothing until attacked.
-He also seems to be able to see invisible players. Kinda?
-Doesn't care much for health packs when in combat. In general, all bots have this issue.

Also, do you know if bots can try and avoid Raelynn's snipe? Most don't, but I didn't see your getting hit once. (Coincidence, maybe?)

Any bot that uses GeneralAI to avoid snipe. However froggy in particular will try to dash raelynn to cancel snipe.

Congratulations on getting this bot added to the beta for patch 2.6! :party: I'll also send you a PM about the next steps to get the bot into the final patch. Bots that turn out problematic might still be removed, so this is not the final victory yet!

We don't have any specific comments on this one, he did fine! :)

In the beta, the bot got stuck running into the droid spawning door in the blue base for a few seconds.

One of the Ronimo devs had one situation where the Froggy stood still for a whopping five minutes during a match. No idea what caused it. This happened on AI Station 205 at the bottom lane in between the front turrets, slightly closer to his own turret.
