Plays great. Sometimes has issues with nuke when there are a lot of walls around, but that's to be expected. Seems like he's ready for 2.8

It's a fine bot.

Maybe you should add a bit more logic about when to siege up.
- When droids have enough health.
- When there aren't people like Raelynn (Rift), Ayla (Rage) or so on, around and he is alone or with a weak teammate.

Just tried him out, he is a really good bot. He uses his traps very well, and getting caught in one while he is next to you is a death sentence. So well done on that!

The only issue i found was that sometimes he would fire his nuke in the opposite direction of his target, resulting in him missing a few kills.

I have only played alongside your Derpl bot, for some reason the RNG god won't let me face against him. Here is what I think of him:

DerplAI:
Pro's
- Active playstyle
- Has a nice way to attack turrets, and knows how to retreat
- Likes to use offensive nukes
- Doesn't stand in siege for too long
- Often traps enemies with snare traps, good placement
- Becomes a good Cat-brawler later on

Con's
- Does sometimes stand in a turret to place some grid traps there
- I've noticed him shooting siege bullets/nuke into the wrong direction while no enemies were around, yet he could hit droids. (Didn't happen often)

Conclusion
Derpl has interesting grid traps and uses his nukes to harm enemies, very decent. He seems to build into Cat-builds to become a scary brawler as the games processes. I liked playing with and against him.

(Testing was done on Ribbit IV with bots at 60%)

Was pretty good overall, nice trap placements, good turret tanking & retreating. Seems to be a bit confused in teamfights, or at least would go into turret mode when against 2 people and wasn't really wise, especially after missing to hit the nuke. I noticed that he decided to stick with a teammate and push instead of running to a turret when it was under attack. Worked out well in the game overall.

In a second match he did some derpy things... would sometimes wait get other Derpl's nuke to the face and not attempt to escape. Also, when our base was under attack, he was pushing a back turret, and even though I pressed defend he didn't go to defend... and when he did, he walked all across the map back to base, didn't teleport.

Weirder was this little dance he did in Ribbit: http://gfycat.com/ThirdIndolentFrigatebird Scoop AI did something very similar as well

He also misfired an easy nuke, but it happens to the best of us: http://gfycat.com/SpecificMemorableAnt

The issue with the first one is that he misses the platform to go up, so he adapts and goes to bottom lane, but then he realizes that scoop bot is already going to bottom so he changes plan and goes back to top.

The nuke issue is a bug I've been trying to fix for a while, I think it's that Derpl locks in his direction when he goes into siege. Still not sure about it though: I'll look into it.

Thanks for the feedback!

Try enabling the "hold" upgrade when he lands on one of those platforms (isInArea + isUpgradeEnabled(no, InAir)). Disable it once he's where he needs to be. This should make it so he can't just fall off of the platform.

Is it possible to add logic for nuking weedling nests? He seems to run up to them, put down a trap and then just try AAing them even when he is attacked from several directions. (Runs away when low)
