So yeah, I thought that I would try and get into bot making and wanted to start with a Nibbs bot. I'm a total newbie to this and am basically just going through step by step with any tutorial that I can find. The modding tips and tricks on the wiki says that I need the naut's class under the file name for excacutebehaviortree but I cant find a class for Nibbs anywhere. So what now? I might try messing with Voltar in the mean time but making a Nibbs bot would be fun. :ayla:

I believe Nibbs's class is called Blinker in the code :)

That's it. In case OP is interested, Flawless, Mesp and I have an unfinished Nibbs bot sitting around. In case you're looking for a base, I'm sure all three of us would be happy to see you continue it.

That would be cool! Would examining/expanding on an already existing bot be a good start though?

It's how I started. My first bot was a slightly modified Lonestar bot. After that, I made a Raelynn bot, because she was similar. Finally, I was ready to really dip my feet in, and build a Voltar bot. Anyways, here's the download.

Yes, making a bot from scratch can be daunting. My vinnie bot was an adaptation of Ronimo's lonestar, and my derpl bot used flawless's derpl bot as a skeleton.

That being said, it's probably best to do a Vinnie bot from scratch. Flyers (and Voltar) are very hard to get right, and not doing them from scratch and planning things exactly makes them even harder. For other bots, just base them off of what's closest, or a bot of your own you know to work well and are able to work with.

Well what I meant was I took a look at lonestar to see what was needed to make a bot work. I would still recommend doing that first before making a bot from scratch.
