Bots are improving at a slow pace. This standard attempts to fix that by effecting a minimum functional standard for bots. As new functions are developed by AI modders, they will be integrated into the standard. This standard aims to include every function that should be implemented in every bot in addition to VeankoAI. Should you know of such a function which is not included, please add it to the standard.

Standard-compliant bots MUST:
  • Avoid using burst abilities on Sentry if he is charging BHS.
  • Avoid using projectile abilities on Froggy G if he has RBAY active.
  • Jump nearby Skolldir if he has Earthquake.
  • Jump to avoid triangle dashes.
  • Include a stuck fix for the platforms behind the first top turrets on Ribbit IV.
  • Fight the Solar boss when they are strong enough.
  • Refrain from using non-burst abilities on 'Nauts when they are invisible.
  • Only aim when necessary. Unnecessary aiming can lead to facetanking.
  • Retreat when outnumbered and not chasing a critical-health enemy.
  • Retreat when CC'd and not chasing a critical-health enemy.
  • Ignore MoveTowardsTarget for targets in range unless chasing a critical-health enemy.
  • Use MoveAwayFromTarget to get further away from targets well in range if they are not critical-health.
  • Attack Homboldt if they are hooked.
  • Use healbots
  • Add 40 solar at spawn to simulate the drop pod game.

Some of this functionality is rolled into a toolkit.

I disagree with some of these terms. For instance, some nauts really just should not engage the solar boss - for example what is a lone voltar going to do against the solar boss.

Voltar will never be strong enough, so he should never fight the Solar Boss. Penny will, but not to start with, so she should once she becomes strong enough.
