Cool idea, but I do not want to see this implemented. It seems like the difficulty of the work would be pretty easy thus they would focus too much time on this than fixing the actual problems with the game.

At the same time it would attract more players, and therefore make matchmaking less cringe-worthy, so it does solve some problems.

This is a pretty artificial method of extending the game's longevity. While I think it would add a little more of a social element to the game, it doesn't do much to solve the core issues people have with the game currently.

While I kinda agree with Smokey Joe, I love the idea.

Gold weapons should be top-tier crap that supports all skins but costs a crap-ton of awesomepoints. I'd totally be motivated to go for a gold jetpack on Yuri. :ugeek:

Also some kind of daily reward would be awesome. For example first match in a day would give you twice as many points.

Just added more visual images of the idea, hope you guys like it!

I'm really convinced about this idea, it looks like a great way to promote skins and give people that last little nudge to convince them to buy the skin they were pondering about, take a look:

Edit: For those wondering how long it would take to get rewards. I imagined the average game would give around 250 Awesomepoints. Feel free to discuss about how expensive you think stuff should be. :ayla:

Everything looks so brilliant, such a shame Ronimo won't implement it ;_;

"artificial method"?
"fixing actual problems"?
"it doesn't do much to solve the core issues people have with the game currently"?

wow…..

When I play online the one problem that really needs "fixing" is the player base:
People force start, people rq if the game gets a bit tough or their treebank-rush fails, people rush turrets, when a bot gets exchanged with a human, people farm bots.
If motivation to play the game was higher and additional achievements change the objective of the gaming experience people wouldn't try to make every game a snowball.

But I guess it's easier to demand the developers to "fix" the game than to support a solution that works with incentives.

On topic:
The idea is great, incentives always work, should get implemented asap and hopefully as close to your suggestion as feasible.
We wasted a lot of time trying to "fix" every facet of the game because something will always be broken, clunk blueprints op, voltar op/up every other patch and yadayadayada….
