 Post subject: Brawl gamemodes

Firstival i wanna say: please remove Tip Top deathmatch its the dollest gameplay i have ever experienced in my entire lyfe.

Now we got that out of the way, i have some ideas.

Back in the day when the only option to play some unusual nauts was the custom games i have participated and even hosted countless fun gamemodes. So seeing Ronimo's uninspired half-ass take on brawl made me make this thread, propose the following gamemodes and hopefully bring more fun brawls into the game.


ALL [insert naut here] (e.g. ALL SKOOLDIR etc.) random loadout, random loadout on death, override solar cost, new unlock every 150 solar, disable droppods and extend respawn time (people watch gameplay when they are respawning)


SEKRET (the secret nauts gamemode "IZ TOP SEKRET DONT TELL ANYONE") Pickable naut, Random loadout, All skills unlockable (game will likely end up with everyone having all possible upgrades) allow solar items, Override colar cost, new unlock every 100-150 solar, health multiplier for awesomenauts 1.3x-1.5x


I have more but they might be too far off the actual game for brawl (ground slipperiness, speed multi, cant walk back etc.)

I want a no cd /reduced cd brawl with a very specific ban list because some nauts are either too effective at the game, or too effective at using spawns and making an unstable match. it needs to have a balanced meta is the thing or otherwise its guaranteed to suck due to the nature of the mode.

Randomnauts is the only one I enjoy and play. Its actually pretty great casual mode and I am always looking forward to play it when its available.

A gamemode where your team votes for one naut, and then go in as a trio.

A gamemode with Only Dizzies and 75% cooldown reduction. Very small arena.

A gamemode with enter stealth when not in combat in some way.

Nah, its my least favourite. :chucho: Reminds me of the silly custom games with 10000 starting solar and no cooldown on skills. Snowball effect is worst in it too, few early game kills and you have 6 items on your main skill and nothing stops you from there anymore. :table:

You'll keep saying that in 2020 and it won't make your statement any less false.
We have the tools to make all of these and more but most Importantly.
We have the tools to make something great.

PS: ayla brawl where you can't exit rage, can shoot eye during rage and have increased health, damage and a creep/solar boss area with increased healing.
The thing is that if we don't try anything new ever because of its issues, we'll just never try anything new at all.

King of the Hill

One of the players is randomly chosen as the king, and has maxed stats, while the 5 others are lvl 1 and team against him. Once the king is dead, the 5 have to fight against each other to stay on top of the hill to become the new king. One who is longest the king wins.
Probably unbalanced asF though.

It would be a lot of fun to play 4v4 or even 5v5. But I guess that is nearly impossible to implement in current game code.
PVE seems fun too. Team of 3 or even 6 against an army of bots. "Last man standing" or "base defend" mode.

I really like randomnauts though. Mostly because it's fun, but also allows me to try nauts im bad with in combat for no penalties and without griefing my team.
