Why don't we have new cosmetic releases for this game? Are cosmetics even released at all for nauts after their initial release patch?

I would like to have a few more skins available for some nauts, specially the ones with only 1 skin (like Dizzy).

I wonder this too. As someone, who has bought every single nauts skin at their release (though I joined later so I bought the old skins that already were released at -50%), I wouldnt mind throwing more money at them still. In fact, Id gladly buy 2 new 5€ skins every month, the 10€ I would be spending a month would be the same as I pay for Netflix, and I play Awesomenauts a lot more than watch Netflix... :ixsad:

Presumably because Ronimo's focus is no longer solely on Awesomenauts.

Quite a decent chunk of their staff will be involved in the Swords and Soldiers II port, especially given that it includes additional campaign elements that will require graphics.

This makes sense, but still I find it stupid on Ronimo's part. Hardly anyone plays S&S and S&S 2 is not off to a rolling start either. I think even in 2018 Awesomenauts would be more fruitful for them if they had put in the same effort into this game rather than S&S 2.

Swords and Soldiers II is a three-year-old game that received decent reviews but was instantly damned to the lowest trench of forgettable hell because it was solely a Wii U exclusive. Why developers are still making exclusive games well after brand loyalty died is beyond me.

Ronimo is now of the opinion that what the PS4 and PC gaming markets want more than Half-Life 3 and an endless supply of money is to play said three-year-old game again, but on a slightly different console, and without any indication of support or hype.

Draw conclusions from that at your leisure.

Yea, pumping anything more than the bare minimum resources into the port doesn't make sense. Hardly anybody ever played SS2. Additional content means nothing to people who haven't played the game before.

There's probably like 300 thrilled dudes who were holding out on the Wii U version because it didn't have enough content. & they'll just wait til it's $3 on steam

I also wonder this. I assume it must be related to the fact that Ronimo have quite a small team of artists, and that their work might be more needed elsewhere.

That being said, I’ve bought every skin released in the game to date, and cosmetic additions take considerably less time to develop than a new ‘Naut. I’d even argue at this stage they’re in higher demand than new characters,
