Can someone post a screenshot for what it should look like when the port is properly forwarded? I've got a Netgear WNDR3400v2, and I have no idea what it should look like when it's done properly.

The information about port forwarding has been changed.

Unfortunately all UDP ports needs to be forwarded because the ports that are used by Steam networking are picked "randomly

so is there an actual fix coming? completely opening one's router isn't really a reasonable thing to ask.

All ports mean: UDP 1024-65535.

This is no ideal solution at all. We are talking with Steam about this. Hopefully we have better solution soon.

Hey I've never been able to play with anybody online before, always been with bots and can never join a friends game who is playing. I've read some support threads but nothing I've read and done has helped, here is what I've done:
1)Uninstalled Adobe Air.
2)Opened ports that steam uses.
3)Checked if uPnP is enables and it is.
4)Uninstalled the game and reinstalled after all this.
5)Verified the integrity of the game cache.
6)Disabled Firewalls/Antivirus software.

I have no idea what to do now and would appreciate any feedback that could help me and others in this situation. Thank you.

I am on a school wireless network, so I cant forward any ports or enable upnp. I have deleted adobe air, but that didn't seem to help my latency. Any suggestions?

This is what Steam says about school networks:
Quote:
Many university networks and proxies block required ports for Steam operation - please consult your network administrator to ensure the required ports are open if you are using a university network or a proxy. Ports required for Steam can not be re-mapped to HTTP or reconfigured to a custom port range.

Other steam games seem to work fine, however. Only Awesomenauts seems to have increased latency.
