Heya since we had a couple of big changes and the recommended builds have never been changed, I think it is time for some updating. As with the initial setup of the builds I need your help again! So please post any build you think needs to be updated (unlocked builds where everything is unlocked for casual players and locked builds with the 6 items locked for new players) Since Nibbs and Rocco don't have builds at all, I would definitely need some good input there! :monkey:

Remember when posting your builds to
-use nautsbuilder.
-include the correct buildorder.

All help is very welcome!

What do you mean by Pro? Players who already mastered the playstyle of a naut, or players who still need to learn the Awesomenaut, but unlocked all the available upgrades. So might use upgrades that are a bit easier to utilize?

I think he means by pro is that you are good with a naut (not necessarily mastered the naut, but think you are doing good with him and have success with a specific build) and/or that you have unlocked all the upgrades (I'm personally more inclined with the latter statement)

Here's 2 of my builds:

1. A pro-build for Ted. :)

Note:
- Grénaide pour Homme can be replaced with Ammo Weekly against certain matchups.
- Adlez Princess Phonenumber and Stealthy Ninja Weapons can be swapped for Double RPG and Hamburger Phone against certain matchups.
- Starstorm Statue can be replaced for Space Air Max against certain matchups.

2. A pro-build for Rocco. :)

Edited the start post to be more clear on what the difference is between the two builds.

Funny, I almost bumped the old thread yesterday because I felt as if the Sentry build I suggested that made it in was outdated.

Pro:

Notes:
- Piggy Bank can be replaced with Boots against certain matchups.
- Bug Detector was included for counterpurposes.
- RFTD can be replaced with ES in certain matchups.
- RFTD can be purchased before YKP in certain matchups.

Newb:

Notes:
- This was kinda hard, as I have no idea how good casuals just are.
- I assumed they can't aim BHS properly and are incapable of Telebursting
- Since AA is supereasy to use, I aimed for a sustainy AA build
- Included Bank because I believe it's unlocked before Sentry is, or at least at a very low level.

I highly recommend you swap the upgrade position of Postcard with Transfusion on the build menu, because Postcard is much harder to use effectively than Transfusion is. Transfusion also helps with survivability for new players.

Pro:

New:

If you do decide to swap Postcard with Transfusion the above build should swap Rubber Sleeve with Transfusion. Size + Lifesteal gives a lot of survivability to allow new players to more easily stay alive.

Derpl

There are two ways of playing Derpl, siege and cats. I'll put up both here so you can choose.

It's also important to note here that where Combustion Lava Lamp or Strengthened Trap is picked, it's recommended that you swap it for Lead Casing when against Froggy, Nibbs or Genji.

Pro:

(I'm not sure how to say "get Piggy Bank as soon as you're able to buy something extra with it" so I just put it as the first upgrade after abilites.)

I think I'm most comfortable with Clunk and Genji, and found myself sometimes carrying with these Nauts. Both are quite dependent of the team. But when they get going can become a force to be reckoned with.

Newbie Clunk Build:

Casual Clunk Build:

New players are often likely to blow themselves up because of bad timing on Explode. That is why I think it is better for them to first build Bite, and buy less self damage after a stage of damage on Explode. Missiles is probably the hardest AA to aim in Awesomenauts, so the newbies get faster attack speed so they don't miss all their missiles. Power Converter is amazing for sustain and almost nullifies the self damage of Explode. Regen can be swapped for BKM depending on the situation.

Newbie Genji Build:

Casual Genji Build:

New players should get heal on Blessing fast to support their team. Most new to Genji are better off keeping a low profile, because our dear caterpillar is easily punished. Cocoon is hard to aim, so it is upgraded latest. Casual players who have unlocked everything should have enough experience with him to play him more aggressively. There is not much difference in upgrades in these builds. But build order matters a lot. Piggy is often taken on Genji because he is quite expensive for a support, I only don't encourage on relying on it too much.

Edit: Updated the newbie Clunk build to my suggestion on the second page.
