Steele was a super soldier, who rose through the military ranks in his native planet quickly, sadly he wasn't a very super general, and is now an endangered species as a result. With no army to command he went back to fighting, and joined the awesomenauts to get money to start his private army and get his revenge.

Steele acts more like a classic soldier around the time of WW2, he doesn't fight like one though. He fights in an armored suit like a small mech which is not in fact made of steel. It's fairly plain, it has short spikes on the knuckles, rockets on the back and feet, and is adorned with various medals and general'a stars.

Stats:
HP: 340( yes another one of my weird nauts)
Speed: 3.8 (HP doesn't seem so big anymore)
Falls twice as fast as skoll
Has more mass than Derpl for pushing people
Slightly taller than clunk
Jump:
A low jump, about 2/3 as high as ted's followed by the option of using his rocket boots to fly for a short while, with very fast upward thrust but low duration.
Unlike other characters his jump has a CD after he lands limiting his upward movement, it's only half a second after a basic jump but using thrusters adds 1.5 seconds to the CD.
Utility is normal except for his special lead boots which only give half the speed increase.

Auto attacks:
Steele swaps AAs like Ted, alternating between a lethal flail meleeing up close, and a sniper rifle for those how would think it smart to out range him.
Stats:
Flail range: 3.8 (like twice most melee)
Sniper range: 15
Switch time: 0.7 seconds can switch mid rocket dash without animation
Damage both: 15
Turret damage both: 100%
Flail attack speed: 100
Sniper attack speed: 45
Flail lifesteals 15% at base
Flail has a slight knock back of 0.2
Sniper pierces up to 3 targets per shot
Sniper is about 1.5 times as fast traveling as lones blaster.
Upgrades:
Cold Steele, +5 damage, 3 stages, 180 a stage
Automatic reloader, increase attack speed of sniper 20% 3 stages, 160 solar
Lead spikes, adds a .1 second stun to flail 300 solar
Magnetized Steele, inverts the flails knock back pulling in characters and adds an equal negative knock back to sniper 220 solar
Hungry flail, increases lifesteal 10% on flail, 2 stages, costs 120 solar
Perfectly logical phenomenon, recieve a +0.8 move speed boost for two second on successful sniper hit.


Ability one: rocket dash
Rockets make everything better. Steele's dash has a priming time of 0.4 seconds and travels wit a range of 12, it has a very large hitbox, but can only be aimed within 20 degrees of horizontal, it can be used mid air, you will float on rocket boots before dashing if in air, hanging mid air.
Stats:
Damage: 25
Knock up: 2
Cool down: 18
Travels as fast as frog's dash
Stun: 0.5
Structure damage: 50%
Upgrades:
Second stage rockets: triggers a second dash with a range of 4 and full directional aim at the end of dash, cannot hit enemies already hit, 210 solar
Orbital rocket, adds 5 knock up, if an enemy hits a ceiling they take 15 damage and an additional 0.5 second stun costs 200
Rapid rockets, decreases CD by 3, 280 solar
Bunker busters, if charge end by hitting a turret it will stun it for 1 second, increases structure damage to 100%, 190 solar
Super sonic missile, dash travels 50% faster, costs 175
Nuclear missiles, adds 15 damage, two stages 160 solar


Ability two: Photonic tether
Shoots out beams of light that tether enemies, not to some form of anchor, but to Steele himself, allowing him to drag them around, it even renders turret Derpl movable, though he is heavy.(sparks fly from him and it makes a grinding noise if he's in turret mode.)
Stats:
Self shield: 15%
Hit range: 6
Tether length: 4
Tethers: unlimited
Duration: 2.5
Cooldown: 12 seconds
Momentum: 5 times (helps drag enemies)
Will hit droids and summons as well as characters, can move weeds without slowing Steele
Upgrades:
Hard as Steele, increases shield 10%, 170 solar, two stages
1.21 gigawatt lightbulb, increases duration by 0.5 seconds, 2 stages 120 solar
Turbo charge, increases move speed by 1 and doubles momentum while tethered, 250 solar
Cobalt-60, adds 10 Dps to light tethers 340 solar
Spotlight, increases Steele's attack speed 20% while tethered, costs 290
Perverse engineering, gives tethered enemies a 20% time slo, costs 300

Looks really cool :D just 2 things I would like to ask:
won't Magnetized Steele+ Lead spikes be able to completley shut pepole down and basically stun them forever if they get into melee range with the current attack speed?
The second one is about the tethers, how will they be aimed and shot?
Overall a very good fan naut, you have come up with some very cool and original abilities :thumb:
I just hope things like turret "stun" and extra damage to it + "ceiling damage" can actually be programed in because they sound cool :chew:

EDIT: just thought of Steele wallking like a small AT-AT or an AT-ST ( two-legged walker ) he's even cooler now!

Tethers hit in a circle around you grabbing everything and tieing you too them.

As for magnetized and lead, it would be hard, but escapable due to his slow speed and jump on CD, and while this may seem like it's definently the way to go, you will lose lifesteal, sniper fire rate, which is needed to get decent range dps, and speed up, which are all very viable.

Honestly I'm not sure what would be most popular, I'd assume sniper speed and damage would be on it since sniper speed makes him easier to use.

First, blabi is the CEO or owner or whatever of his zork co. So to me, I think he's basicly the Saxon hale in the awesomenauts universe, which the only thing that blabi only do is sell and test weapons to the awesomenauts

There's always a general, ortherwise who keeps control and lead the awesomenauts? Who hired the mercs to be part of the awesomenauts? and also, who the leader of the both red and blue team?

I think the default announcer is the general of the team, but if he a nobody, why is he even in the game and tell the team what's happening?

If you think I'm wrong then show me proof

And also if he isn't suppose to the the general of the awesomenauts then why is he named General Steele? Why not Just, Steele

Ok I done a lot of talking for this one, can't wait till what ya going to say

Blabl hires lone in the tutorial and gives orders, the announcer is just there to make announcements.

Steele is clearly stated to have lost his army in a war before he joined the awesomenauts, now if you don't read the thread don't post, this is clearly on top of the OP

That wasn't blabl, that was the default announcer (or general default who I call him)

Even though the default announcer has no story or name, he dose has a picture of him, which looks like a 6 eyed allen.

Ok fair enough, but that get me to lead 5 possibilities of what this could mean:

1. Blabl is the default announcer

2. Ronimo made kind of error of the pictures of the one on the tutorial and the one that is on the announcer settings so the default announcer is the default announcer or blabl

3. Since wiki mostly don't tell the truth, they might got this wrong and blabl is not what it said

4. I am right and the default announcer is the default announcer

5. On the tutorial the person said that lonestar fight for the red army, so that can mean that dlabl leads the red army and the default announcer leads the blue army
