Location: Stuck inside a display box. Help.
I've been brainstorming a lot recently (hope you don't have a problem with that) and i remember how PietaPizza wanted to summon beacons, so i wonder if it's possible to have drones following you (like in the singleplayer champaign) and make them place a beacon when you press defend and revert it to a drone when you press defend near it. Is that possible and okay to add?

Hehe, yes that is definitely possible.
That's a good idea. I could do that.

They are a little buggy though, but I could perhaps work around that.

Yup that's possible. There are just a couple of rules that need to be held when doing so... I'll check it out though :D

The new version come out when I feel like it.
I haven't begun so I can't promise anything.

Drones are too hard to handle for this.

If an AI was parented to the player, I could do it...

Well thats unfortunate. This is just another idea and i have absolutly no clue if it will work but what if you could make beacons that spawned weedlings to respond to commands. There would be 4-6 on a map, one for each area but if this beacon thing is too hard to impliment we can just wait until a better editor comes out.

It's easy to just spawn weedlings. But I'm not sure I get the point? Weedlings as towers? They're already there, in Gnaw's tower.

No no no i ment temporary weedlings that you could place a tower beacon on, although they dont have to be weedlings but I find them the least flashy and laggy, but again if that's too much work we can just wait.

You mean, have a predetermined place, where you can spawn a beacon, if you can buy it?

Actualy, that's a great idea, but i meant an entity (beacon probably) that would spawn other entities (probably red neutral AI weedlings) on the ground that would react to a command (probably defend) and spawn a tower spot and would deduct your credits/special tokens made for this purpose or remove that ability until you destroy your custom beacon. Those multiple weedling spawners would be placed on certain spots to avoid spawning 100 weedlings with 1 spawner simotaniously. I hope that's more understandable :D
