Here is my idea for a new faction if S&S 2 is released
Units
Melee Unit: Saber Warrior: Same Strength as the Chinense Swordsman but, instead of deflecting projectiles they can damage three units at a time 50 gold

Ranged Unit: Bowman: shoots flaming arrows 45 Gold

Special Unit: Vizier: Casts Fireballs, which when it hits it the unit hit runs back in a panic for a short time 100 Gold

Destroyer Unit: Cannon Similar to the Catapult but, slower and more powerful 150 Gold

Tower: Archer Tower Same as the Viking Tower

Spells
Sandstorm: Slightly slows down all enemy units
Fireballs: Player can launch three largefireballs within the Line of Sight
Dancer: Spawn a Dancer which makes enemy units within a short range and time attack each other.
Fenzy: An unit gets an attack boost for a short while
Jihad: All of the Players units get combat and a speed bonus for awhile. (i.e. Friendly Units move at Fenzy pace if the game is at Normal
Mana Gaining: The Arabian Player earns mana for every enemy unit destroyed.

ok here is the story (This is based off of S&S 1, so in theroy the Arabs can just be added in an exspanion pack)
you are a guard to toy maker/trader, Ali from Toys for you(tm) and are assigned to deleiver these toys to the Chinense Emperor
-A pile of sand! -An illegal Magnifying glass (Sun+MG=Fire :S) -A toy camel with spitting action
1. Rivals: You fight Toys 4 you(tm) learn about the Arab units and spells
2. Ambush!: You get attacked by Toys 4 you guy again, just a battle
3. No Toys for you!: The Zen master tries to stop you from delievering the toys, the "get across the map, with limited units and spells" mission
4. Luke...I'm your Emperor: You fight with the Emperor to fight off for a time, the zen master who is trying to overthrow the Emperor
5. South Acirfa: The Emperor gives you a fleet with some of his troops as a gift, you land in South Acirfa and fight the Vikings and learn about the Chili. (with Chinense help)
6. The Sun doesn't scare me!: You fight off a horde of Aztecs Sun Giants (No help)
7. You are not hotter than me: You fight the Aztecs for the Chili (No help)
8. Escape?: You hold off the Aztecs and Vikings while the Chinsense get the boats ready.
9 Fire vs. Ice: You fight the Vikings again
10. Great Prizes come in Red: You fight Toys 4 you and the Aztecs so you can sell the Chili for a lot of cash!
Then you get a picture of the Ali on a throne with gold coins stacked all around him and two Dancers flirting with him.
"And so with the Chili sold Ali became the wealthy man in his country."

Funky! I doubt the Jihad spell will go well with a lot of people, though... ;)

When I see the cool stuff you folks come up with, I think it is a real pity that we have made no way to load custom levels in the WiiWare game. If Swords & Soldiers would ever come to the PC, I think I should really look for a way to release our level design tools, if possible. :)

That way you could have DLC and online play!

And, better yet...more factions!!!

Nice ideas! but when "hit 3 people at a time" for saber warrior, do you mean if their in a stack or a marching line? and maybe the Super spell should be based on gun powder because the Ottomans had a LOT of gunpowder back in the day. But other than that, THE ARABIA FACTION ROCKS!
