I haven't played this game in months and honestly when I decided to play few matches again for last few days I wasn't surprised to see that this game hasn't changed at all. Awesomepoints are still useless, those brawls are kinda just normal matches but with restrictions or increased X stat, support characters can still deal enough damage to kill a tank and still playing with premade team makes winning much more easier, unless you run into better, premate team. It feels like this game is going nowhere with its updates and I'm not missing anything by not playing it.

This sounds like the basis of a Monty Python sketch.

"No don't go in the bush! There's a mine in it!"

"Well how do you know?"

"I saw the monkey head in!"

"Well isn't that a bit racist you think?"

"Wha- how is it racist, that's literally what he does, look there's a mine down here!"

"Well how do you know he put it there?"

"Its got his bloody name on it!"

"Could be a plant by nefarious forces looking to seperate us from our monkey brethren. Look I'll go in and ask him like a proper, good willed lizard."

BOOM

"Well, suppose you were right. Guess that's what I get for trusting those dirty, commie monkeys."

"Please just leave, I'd rather talk to the bot."

Well. I just had the most demoralizing experience i've ever had with an online video game...as my first game played all year.

I Failed to do anything useful other than to throw a ted into a turret as skolldir, a naut I thought I had finally gotten the hang of last week, thusly making myself look like a total moron in front of ducks and friends I admire.

I got harassed by people from both sides for my absolute incompetence.

I had a horrible experience in terms of synchronization and pings, leading to dc deaths, and disconnects from both teams.

I lost what my teammates had mannaged to turn into a rather one sided match with a final score of 1/11.

I did not recieve any xp after my match, all I got according to my friend was a 2 minute lock out thanks to the "retrieving match data is taking longer than expected" screen and a report from my team.

6 minutes later once the queue for my next game had finalized, my game crashed.

Feels great man when you have people who are willing to pay 8 dollars for Ultimiate skins but aren't willing to play the game for more than 8 minutes to learn how their character works.

It is common knowledge that it is your appearance that matters, not your skill.

Valve took that message to heart so fast they ruptured an organ or two, as Crystal Maiden demonstrates.

On-topic: something something communication words adverb what is going on particle negativity.

Just played a match where these were the ratings :

18996 (L1) + 19246 (L1) + 15052 (L3) VS 16273 + 16605 + 16550 (all L2)

I let you guess which side won.

The two L1s were not in a premade. These L1 should have never been put in the same match, and especially not in the same team. Something like 19k + 15k + 16k vs 16k + 16k + 19k would have been way less one sided than the match we had.

It's very likely there were significant ping differences between players thus the MM tried to arrange the teams as to minimise that.

I agree it isn't ideal but it's not necessarily wrong of the MM to do this. A solution could be to lessen the ping factors in high rating games but I imagine this will frustrate about as many people as it pleases.

Is having manageable pings on both teams not the sole aim of the new matchmaking?

If we were to do away with it, would we have made no progress from the old system?

Technically the ranking averages out. 17764.6 repeating average versus 16476 average.
Perfectly fine if you ask me. :^)
