King of the Hill is a 1v1 team deathmatch-style tournament which will be taking place over a two-day period on the 25th and 26th of January. The prize pool for the top three will be a total of $140. Games will be mirror matches, where both players play the same 'naut. Sets will be streamed and casted by yours truely over at twitch.tv/harrybutchers on both days starting at 7pm UTC.

SIGN-UPS
- You can sign-up for the tournament here. All skill levels are welcome.
- Subscribe to the 1v1 mod on Steam here. Launch the game and make sure you have both the map and game mode.
- You must own Yuri or the mod won't work. Please make sure you do before you sign-up.
- Join the Discord here and make your name the same as the one you signed-up with so you can easily be found.
- If you need help with anything, post in the #help channel in the Discord or message one of the moderators.
- We will no longer be taking sign-ups after midnight on the 24th of January.

FORMAT
- On the 25th, players will be grouped into one of several round robin pools. Each player will play a set against every other player in their pool. The top two players of each pool will proceed to the next stage on the 26th.
- On the 26th, players who qualified on the 25th will be placed into a double elimination bracket.
- You must check-in on BOTH days between between 5 and 6pm UTC by posting in the #check-in channel in the Discord. You will not be placed in the bracket if you forget this step.
- The bracket will be posted in the "#bracket" channel in the Discord briefly after 6pm UTC. You can start playing your matches from this point. A channel will be created for each pool so you can easily find your opponents to set-up games.
- If you have trouble finding your opponent or are not getting a response after a reasonable amount of time, post in the #help channel in the Discord or message one of the moderators.

RULES
- Each game must be played on both the 1v1 map and game mode found in the mod here. The rules are automatically included in the mod but in case you are curious, here are the main ones:
- First player to 10 kills wins.
- Healing is disabled, including passive regen.
- When a player dies, both players respawn at the same time.
- Players are invulnerable for 1 second after spawning.

DRAFTING
- Each set will be a best of three, meaning the first player to win two games wins the set.
- Winners finals, losers finals, and grand finals will be best of five sets.
- For each set, the player above in the bracket must be on the red team for all games in that set. The player below must be on the blue team.
- Each game will be a mirror match, meaning both players must play the same 'naut.
- For the first game, if both players agree to play a specific 'naut, that 'naut can be played. However if not, a random 'naut generator can be used by typing the phrase "naut plz" in the Discord.
- The 'naut played in subsequent games will be decided by the loser of the previous match.
- The same 'naut cannot be played more than once during a set.
- Yuri, Vinnie & Spike, Skree, Chucho, and Max Focus are banned due to their ability to fly.
- If a player disconnects during a game, that game is deemed won for the remaining player.

BUILDS
Builds are automatically handled by the mod but in case you are curious, you can find a list of them here.

POST-SET
- If you win the set, it is your job to report the results in the #submit-results channel in the Discord. Results must be posted in the following format:
Code:
ExampleName1 VS. ExampleName2
Winner: ExampleName1
Game 1: ExampleMatchID1
Game 2: ExampleMatchID2
Game 3: ExampleMatchID3

- You can get the match ID of a game by going to the "watch" tab on the main menu, finding and clicking the replay under "self", and copying the match ID displayed on the right side of the screen.
- If a win is due to the opponent disconnecting from the game, please notify us in the submission.

PREREQUISITES
- Turn on "upload replays of online matches" in the general settings.
- Turn off "incognito in online replays" in the general settings.
This is so we can verify your results and broadcast your matches.

- 1st place: $80.
- 2nd place: $40.
- 3rd place: $20.
